Possible to be hacked over msn without receiving anything?

Hey, I'm just wondering if I talk to someone for 5 minutes, without them sending me any files, would it be possible for them to hack/do something bad to my computer? Any responses are valued,

In a simple word, No. It is not possible to "Hack" someone over MSN.
It is possible if they know your ip though. In which case they wouldn't use MSN to hack you....

 

No it isnt posibble. You can be hacked through irc though =)

Its not possible to hack someone just by knowing there IP address. You can get anyones IP address easily.

 

ok, you can get hacked without even opening MSN, there are ways they can get your ip through MSN, then they use programs to get into ur computer, your never safe, ive read up on this stuff and i know all about it, so just always be careful, but nothing is impossible with computers
for example one way of hacking MSN is they use a program, they enter ur email address, and they mail bomb u
they could also freeze your msn just by knowing your MSN
dont uderestimate hackers, theres program these days that can do almost anything, i would know...

 

It is if he/she has open ports. Anyone with a firewall would be virtually impenetrable for someone who only knew your I.P. adress, but if you had no protection at all and had open ports from some virus/trojan/adware that could and would be exploited by someone with the right skills.

Sheeeeeeet. That almost fightening, just by using MSN some no life 19 year old is gunna hack my computer...
