US dollar crashes tomorrow, what happens to virtual currencies and RSGP market.

Scenario in title, what happens.

 

In a perfect world, I'd expect the costs of all virtual currencies to skyrocket, roughly in proportion to the drop in USD. But, since we're not in a perfect world, I'd expect massive economic upheaval worldwide, and massive, Zimbabwe style fluctuations in virtual currency with no stabilization for quite a while. Kind of sucks if you're all in on Bitcoin lol.

 

Entire world crash and burns and no more runescape...

 

Any instance of a global power's currency crashing to zero would have extreme negative impacts on the global economy. I'd imagine BTC would be similarly effected.

 

I would think the rate would continue to run parallel

 

Considering the United States dollar is the reserve currency for the entire world, if the U.S federal reserve dollar falls the world falls.

 

Which would also cause the "virtual world currencies" to fall, without a doubt.

 

I dont understand why you think crypto values would crash in the event the dollar crashes. I think the exact opposite would happen.

Look at the currency problems in India, Venezuela, Indonesia, China, Spain. When some of those countries saw a drop in the value of their currency, bitcoin skyrocketed.

Bitcoin does it's best when other currencies are doing their worst.
