Questions Regarding Riot Point Purchases

Hey all! This may be a stupid question, but I've never actually purchased Riot Points through another user.

I've been looking to get into buying Riot Points through Sythe, since they are typically marked down 50%+ off their original price which makes buying cards in store for the full price or buying them digitally through the store essentially useless.

I was just wondering the legitimacy of buying Riot Point cards through other users. Can these cards somehow be traced back to my account after purchase? Are there any chances of bans in-game from doing this?

TL;DR: Is it safe for my account?

Would appreciate to hear from you guys about this.

 

Not so sure on bans but you can definitely get your rp purchases removed

one time i bought 5 skins from another user and they were removed within 2days so i suggest you find someone who is trusted and provides a money back garuntee

 

bought a few 1820 skins via pkhonor gold a few years back, still got them if that helps.
Never had an issue with buying rp either on sythe.
Afaik, they wouldn't do anything since you're pretty much still supporting riot.

 

Buying codes nothing can happen, being gifted things can be removed if the RP from the Gifter was not obtained legitly.

 

Don't think you'll run into any bans, but if you did purchase anything with "shady" RP (purchased with stolen cc's, etc.) riot will take the items you've purchased off of your account. I don't have any experience with purchasing RP, but a few years back I purchased referrals for the RaF bonuses, and eventually had all of the champs / skins that I purchased with the RP/IP I got removed. Funny enough, I had purchased Vi with the IP I got from the RaF, then got Neon Strike Vi gifted to me later down the line. When they took my rewards away, I still owned the Vi skin, but no Vi.

As long as you stay away from anything that seems too good to be true you should be safe though. People get RP all of the time and may not need / want it and are just trying to unload the card for a few bucks below it's actual value.
