[Scam Prevention] Using Google Image Search

Ok so i was recently scammed and before i was going to pay i felt the urge to run the "drawing" through the google image search. but i pushed the thought aside.

Well I decided to run the search the next morning and boom, there it was, the same exact picture same size and everything.

This will teach you how to use this awesome function google has incorporated. And I don't believe many people know about it.

Step One: Navigate to -> images.google.com


Step Two: Click on the camera icon


Step Three: Enter either the url, upload or simply drag and drop the picture in question



Step Four: Compare Results


As you can see, the first picture was an exact match.

Quick and effective, no more scrolling through pages and pages looking for one picture.

 

Nice guide; a lot of people don't know about reverse image searching.

 

That's how people on misc do detective work to see if stories are legit or not, etc.

Quite a useful tool, thanks for awaring people on this site.

 

If you're dragging and dropping, you don't even need to click the camera icon. Simply navigate to images.google.com and then drag and drop.
