Eye floaters?

I have a HUGE one in my right eye. Sometimes I have to jerk my head to get it out of sight. Only one of my friends has a floater, and he says he has to squint a lot to see it. I'm wondering how common this condition is. Vote.

 

I've never even hear of a floater, I do not have one though.

They're agervating though, or so it seems.

Nope, Im not even aware that there is such a thing.

 

I see them sometimes but don't notice them that much.

 

ye i only see them sumtimes not all the time tho

 

I can see them when i squint or when I look into a bright light, especially the sun.

 

To the people who say you see them when you squint:
Maybe it's just your eye lashes you're seeing, but I don't know.

 

I'm fairly certain that I don't. At least I haven't seen it before.

The wikkipedia picture looks EXACTLY like what I see.

 

An eyelash would not look like a transparent tube-shaped thing in the middle of whatever you're looking at.

 

I see them when I close my eyes really tight and push it with something.

 

Push them? You mean, prodding your eyeball?

 

I have never heard about that before. But from what LifeSavers said it seems that it is pretty anoying (or so it seems)

But i do have a few in both eyes, very small noticable only against a plain surface

 

I very rarely have to jerk my head.

 

I get them sometimes, after when I do something very intensive, run very fast etc. Then they just slowly "fall" down, out of sight.

 

for all the people saying they get floaters sometimes , that is probably just a head rush you are getting , blood cells expanding fast within the eye.

a real floater , isnt just temporary.
it should float to the bottom of your eye eventually , then tottaly disapear.
nothing to be concerned about , if you have more then one .. and they dont go away , i would suggest contacting a physician.

 

Oh, so that's what they're called. Sometimes when it's cloudy, am looking at snow or at a clear sky I see them 'floating' aroung my eye.
