I'll kick it off with deep runs in two tournaments concurrently, and I'll update with more cool stuff. I play MTT's on ACR. Hop on Tokenbets and BBB on the weekends for the big freerolls. You won't ever find me on a cash game hehe.

I haven't been screenshotting recently cause I've been running horrible and if I FT something I get like 8th or something dumb lol, but here's a really old Bovada score on a $11 tourney

And I got into this for cheap... looking forward to Dec. 18th to hopefully post a big win here

Thats a pretty nice bovada win @Wintastical. I haven't played much poker (only the past few months) but I was able to get a 100x 3 dollar spin and go and win some time ago which was really nice. Besides that, maybe only a few 100-200$ wins.

I'm actually looking into 'learning' the odds of poker so I can put $1k investment into it and see where it goes, should be pretty fun, not to mention profitable if I do it correctly.

I'll win some and lose some either way, but as long as the outcome is income I'll post some response to this in the near-ish future ;)

@Soul Rich time to flex some poker screenshots?!!?

Awesome! I am practicing comparing my hand equity to the pot equity as well. If you are consistent in playing your equity you will actually come out on top in the long run after a lengthy hand history (sample size), even after variance.

Playing multiple tables concurrently will greatly increase your profit as well.

Cash games are different than tournaments. In certain tournament situations you have to adjust your range, bet sizes, etc. In cash games you can pretty much grind every hand and only play the odds.

One of the most important things is good bankroll management. Your bankroll should be 100x a tournament buy inl, and 20x a cash games max buy in. Variance does happen, meaning. Runs of bad cards, so you want to have that cushion to protect your investment. Always make sure your poker bankroll is dedicated and won't interfere with your "life"roll.

Oh yeah that's why I selected a small portion of my liferoll to invest into poker bankroll, if I go bust I'll have learned that I was doing it wrong and I will at least (hopefully) have learned the game a little better from seeing the mistakes.

I've seen some youtube vids of guys multi tabling cash games it's pretty insane that they can concentrate on 20 at once, but then again Runescape will have provided some practice of that already :)

Deep on ACR 1/14, already have a hugely profitable day going so this is nice to end with another deep run. I'll update the post when I finish.

    UPDATE:
Took it down. $11 buy-in, $1400 profit. Very good day today

I'd recommend not rushing into it, that's where most people mess up. I spent over a year studying / watching YouTube content / browsing training sites before I ever even deposited and I still wasn't ready yet. Also be sure to look into bankroll management before ya do anything, it's worth noting that a good player will only cash a tournament ~15% of the time, and a lot of those cashes are min. cashes (often less than 2x the buy-in) so you'll have long downsings before hitting a big win. That goes for everyone, not just new players. Good luck

Once you have good understanding of pot odds/implied odds/reverse implied odds the absolute most important thing you can do is to get good at constructing hand ranges for each specific player. I earn so many more chips now that I know when I can call down 77 on a K high board etc. HUD stats are a huge help with that since I'm usually playing 4+ tournaments at a time
