I really enjoy that you not only moderate the off topic sections, but you also participate in them too which helps facilitate discussion. Keep up the good work.

 

Blew quite a few reports/issues based on personal opinion. Not too active not compassionate in what he is doing either.

Thanks man! I try to post anytime I think I'll contribute to discussion and hopefully I'll be able to participate more once the next next week ends since I've been slammed with work for the last month (not counting personal life).

Would you mind sending me to these reports? I have and will make mistakes, but I'm assuming you mean the two that led to your temporary bans (one which was over-turned). It is also worth noting I gave you one of your active five infractions and if the second band was unjust, it would have too be overturned.

- The first report involved you spamming on a RAS thread. Said post was reported, I went to the content, and infracted it accordingly; however, that post had already been deleted by @malakadang . I had not looked at the deletion and it did not cross my mind the post was possibly already deleted (as the report had not been handled, but posts were being removed real-time by individuals watching the thread). It is also worth noting that other staff expressed their surprise that post was not infracted when it was deleted. I am sorry for infracting you for a post that had already been deleted, the post was quite vulgar and as I already stated, I was unaware it had been handled already.

- The second report, again involving you, led to your most recent temporary ban. This was due to threatening behavior (nonetheless outside of the spam forum) and it is worth noting, that last individual that made such threats received a 5 day temporary ban not an infraction for the behavior. I also did not act alone and ran past the course of action with upper-staff to ensure I was making a reasonable choice.

I have absolutely no desire to weigh my personal opinion into how I handle reports. While I would prefer to be liked by individuals I attempt to help, I do not give an ounce of thought to the people who have problems with me. Sure, I would like to rectify the problem if possible, but honestly, I do not give a shit you do not like me @Gun and I will not weigh that in on how I handle any reports involving you. If you would keep your trolling/spamming to the spam forum, discord, skype, or whatever, you would not end up being infracted and I am sorry if you feel as if I have it out for you. I don't.

In terms of activity: I do a fair amount of reports, but my actual post activity has been declining due to how busy I am. Hopefully my activity will be able to pick up a bit once I finish finals, but I still very much have a life outside of Sythe and have much of my Sythe time is lurking and doing reports (+ I am quite selective in what I respond to, I only tend to respond if I think it'll really contribute).

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by compassionate so I'm not sure how to address that.

Clearly you do as you don't handle all issues alike. So clearly you are either biased by something or personally invested in fucking me. You clarify which.

That being said, two bans have been placed on me based on you mishandling what was in front of you. If those infractions were not placed or even deleted once you realized your mistake, they would not have happened

 

Well, different issues require different actions so that much is true, but I hardly find your conclusion logically sound. There are stipulations in rules that allow for staff discretion, but this hardly applies to anything I have handled so I am not sure where you're going with that. If you're referring to infracting opposed to a straight-out-ban for threatening, I based that on the likely intent behind the post. Either way it was inappropriate, but one resulted in a longer ban so I went with the infraction. I have reversed quite a few infractions that I have handed out after being contacted by the individual. Intent matters a lot and there is a difference between someone purposefully shitposting in a RAS and an individual attempting to be helfpul even when they should not be posting.

Neither. I have handled infractions I have handed out to you the same as I would any other individual. You have 5 current infractions from 5 different mods, but you for some reason have convinced yourself I am out to get you and imagine that I have some deep-seated personal interest in you. As I already stated, I don't, nor do I have the time to have some fixation on some random troll.

Two bans based on mishandling?

As I already stated the first infraction (not a ban, you were infracted) was based off a post that was indeed infractable, but had already been deleted. It had been reported, the report was not yet handled, so I went on to do it. The infraction was promptly reversed once it became aware it had already been deleted. I am sorry for infracting your post after it was deleted, again, I was unaware as the report had yet to be handeled. Be sure, I would have infracted anyone for the following in a RAS: "Haha! We get it Johnathan, you're a nigger!"

The second scenario wasn't a mishandling and was a justified infraction + post deletion. Said infraction just happened to be your 5th active one, resulting in a 3 day temporary ban. If the second one was a mistake, the infraction itself would have been deleted by someone else (and again, I ran this infraction by upper-staff as to ensure it was fine since anytime something seems to happen you, a shit-storm follows).

 

Although at times you prove to be anxious when dealing with reports, a majority of the time you are professional in handling the given situations. I've never seen you egregiously handle any report of sorts. A great member of the staff team, and (in my eyes) promotion worthy. Great work Tmoe.

Makes rash decisions and doesn't quite understand the forum rules fully in my opinion. Has a lot to work on in terms of being a mod but with time hopefully he will get better at his job. We can only hope at least, all in all, outside of moderation he's a good kid.

No actual experiences (on my part) where you have been a bad moderator but that's just the word on the streets. Feel me brutha?
