[PR] Lottery Fundraiser [$2 TICKETS]

Introduction​

Hi everyone! The public relation's group is hosting a lottery to help raise funds for our team. The more participation we receive the more we can do what we need to!

Rules & Regulations

In short, this is how it works:

• Tickets will be purchased for $2.00 a piece and @Shin will be holding our funds
• Any and every member is allowed to participate
• Payment methods: BTC, RSGP.
• We will be accepting RSGP at a rate of $.90 USD per million for Oldschool Gold, and $0.17 USD per million for Runescape 3 Gold.
• Every 10 tickets sold, we will be giving one ticket away
• • How this works is: if Soul buys tickets #1, 2, 3 and 4; Dave buys tickets #5, 6 and 7; and Buyacc buys tickets #8, 9, and 10; then we would roll a dice out of 10, and whatever number it lands on, will be the winner of an extra ticket (i.e., if it lands on 5 out of 10, then Dave would win the 11th ticket) The tickets given away will be added at the very end of the lottery.
• No limitations to how many tickets you buy
• When purchasing tickets, you will be given the next one to be purchased (i.e., if 1, 2, & 3 are taken, you will be given #4).
• The pot or grand prize will grow as the number of ticket purchases grow
• Referral program: If you refer a new member, and they post 25 times and/or buy 5 tickets, you will receive 1 free ticket (please note: they must have some sort of confirmation to provide to us to show legitimacy of the referral, such as 2FA)

If you would like to enter the raffle, please fill out the form below and wait until a PR member private messages you with instructions on payment. ONLY PR members will be accepting payment, so don't be tricked!

As a result, we will be holding 15% of the accumulated jackpot to go towards our team. These funds will be used for advertisement and allow us to increase traffic to the site. Thank you for participating and helping the community out.

After the winner of the jackpot is announced, the below prizes will be raffled off to people who have not yet won anything:

The sale of tickets ends on December the 18th, at midnight Central Standard Time. After the sale closes we will distribute the extra tickets to the winners within 24 hours. After this we will roll a dice equal to the amount of people that entered to determine the winner of the lottery, this will happen within 24 hours after the extra tickets have been distributed.​

The funds will all be held in BitCoin but can be converted into the winners preferred payment method.

If I don't trust PR members who can we give payment to?

And what is 15% of the prize fund going to be used on, can you be specific?
Advertising? As in paying YouTubers to advertise Sythe?

Also if we "donate" a certain amount do we get anything.. i.e. a mini? Or are we just giving money with a reduced amount being received if we win.

 

The funds that are being held back will be used for things as: sponsorship through Twitch/Youtube, collaborating with other sites and/or general advertisements (for example using some of the money to advertise events CDT make).

In what ways do you need money to advertise CDT events?.. Most CDT peeps can advertise their events better than PR does.

Which sites do you need to collaborate with that will cost money?

 

For example Mootrucks' weekly events, we could buy advertisement space on particular forums to advertise those. Or christmas events, to advertise those. Anything really. Wont talk much about PR-related things from now on but just trust me the money is going to be used for a good cause.

If, when the end of the event approaches, people think the 2 weeks are too short we can always discuss to extend the event a bit

Clearly not all information is in the first post hence why I am asking for clarification. If a team expects me to give money to them to use on various things I'd like to know exactly what the money is being used on and how, as with lotteries chances are minimal to win. The only downer is when you restrict people from asking questions to get a clarification. smh

Whenever a team makes a thread for an event, can it please not devolve into an argument and penis measuring contest between the CDT and PR with the TCT joining in a bit later.

 

People just dont like raffles on Sythe for some reason lol. I literally had a raffle that was running for the longest time past the draw date. If anyone has spent 50k on one ticket, they would've received 6m instantly.

 

I think it's mainly because people realize the odds of the raffle and it's not instant gratification.

I mean, why enter a raffle with minuscule chances when you can go to the dicing section and dice 2$ for a 50% chance at winning? That's my take on it.

There needs to be more of an incentive than just the chance at winning the raffle for people to be interested such as a neat participation minirank or some other reward that would entice more people in joining.
