I'd have to debate that because 50 Cent brought rap back huge to the mainstream with "In Da Club" but everything he's done since has sounded like a rehashing of his same old things, while Kayne has been inovating the scene, making people think about social issues and what's really going on and a lot more people who listen to top 40 (which is the vast majority of people) like that. Look at fucking Bono in U2, he helps people across the world and "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" is a gigantic piece of shit but people still bought it.
