What is wrong with Rap?

Why the hell do people have problems with Rap music? It is stereotyped so much but why? Its just a genre of music which is popular with alot of teenagers. I don't understand why people have discussions and polls about why Hip-Hop RnB and Rab suck and why rock is ftw?


My opinion is Rap isen't discriminative songs by black people who think they are all gangstas talking about drugs and sex but even if it was how its stereotyped to be, what is so good about screeming down the mic and headbanging like those rock lovers do.

TBH i dont really know, i use to like rap. until i was 10.

Most rap ive heard is just "Yo yo nigga pimp this pimp that nigga hoe weed dope".

I know theres serious rap out there like 2pac, hes pretty okay, ive just not gotten involved enough to search for rap thats actually good and means something.

 

There are many other decent/serious rappers but Tupac is awesome and one of the greatest rappers of all time.

i used to listen to rap when i was 9 lol thats when it was the best
but all the new stuff killed it.
i stick with the old school stuff like Method Man

 

i used to listen to rap until i started to listen to 80s rock and i got totally hooked

 

The old rap wasn't too bad (Tupac, for example), but now every beat to every song is the exact same, and they same phrases are used in 20+ songs. Hearing about "shooting sum nigga's up in da hood" and "takin meh girl to da candy shop" in every song gets a bit repetitive.

 

Emo/screamo > Rock > Rap. Why? Because rap has a single beat and just has an idiot holding his balls while talking. Talking slightly rythmically. Boring and annoying IMO.

Most of it has no meaning whatsoever, thats why i like rock ,etc.

Us "Rockers" or "metalheads" or "whatever the hell you nickname God's creatures" (Yes that is a Hamlet reference by Shakespeare), we do not hate your music. We actually deal with it. We live with it. We endure the sound of some black kid pumping out probably 240 decibels of rap while we are trying to concentrate on the fucking road. We live in a world where gun crime is commonplace... and the correlation between rap and guns is, well, R = 1. Yes that is the line of regression, one. Yes, one.

We do not take the war to your turf. You bring it to us. You guys take the first shots, just as your guns in real life do against innocent civilians. You invade our turf, and tell us you cannot stand our music.
You confuse yelling for screaming, you confuse genre with genre, you confuse rap with intelligence, you confuse musical ability with the essence of being!

Our threads are trolled with your lack of intelligence. Our society thinks "Nigger" is an acceptable word. Racism has become a one way street. Musical equipment is being replaced by machinery that loops the most simplest of beats. Our very fabric of society is crumbling, and you have the audacity to question our retaliation? Hatred run deep, but ignorance shoots farther.

Drugs are considered cool. Sex apparently means love. Cars and money are the true aims of life in a gangster paradise. School is for the unintelligent and retarded. Advancement in intelligence is reverse in evolutionary scales of normality. Being black is now considered ideal, equality between races is wrong. The person whose mouth can use the most simplest words in the English language is superior. The same beat over and over is appealing. External appearance is the secret facade we all must bear and abuse.

Humans are stupid. We are the dumbest being of all. We do not learn. Much like we will destroy this earth in the near future to satisfy the 'now', it is a macrocosm of rap in general. You cannot deny that. How dare you think otherwise?
