Care to pass your knowledge on what bands produce EMO? Or at least good EMO music? The 'EMO' bands that were formed 2000+ are no where near emo, just their looks and 'personality' are considered EMO.

Idiot, emo is a social tag now, not a genre. In the 1980's emo was a new subculture forming off of the hardcore movements. Now bands obviously arn't into prolonged synth bullshit, but we lump the word "emo" with "emotional" or whining to some degree instaid of emotional hardcore like emo origionally was meant to, because no one really gives a shit about the old emo bands. I myself listened and most of it was really lo-fi sounding and cheap, go 80's.

Alltogether, your assumed meaning for emo as the 1980's domminant genre over the emotional whiny asspect of music as everyone else generally sees it makes you seem like 1) a bigot and 2) some music know it all who can't tell a 7 1/2" record from an LP.
