Any bow hunters out there?

I was just wondering if there were any other bow hunters here on sythe. I myself have been bowhunting for 1 year and recently got into 3d target shooting(For those of you who don't know what a 3d target is it is a target that looks like a real animal and is made out of a type of foam.).

 

o've gone bow hunting a few times.........

 

I have a longbow, but I haven't used it for like 2 years.

 

Im really good with a compound bow..

 

I got a compound bow, I pull back 40lbs and I suck lol.

why would u go bow hunting when u can use a gun ?!

 

True, but that's to easy, So if i do "hunt" (wich i don't.) i'd use crossbow.

 

Is's fun for me.

I used to think that way, but after experiencing it Bow > gun.

 

I shoot sometimes with a recurve, but I don't hunt. Not enough time in early season for me.

 

Lol i don't like bows... I have a .22, .243, and a .12 guage. We mainly hunt deer and duck. But no bows lol

 

I find it sickening that you would hunt animals recreationally.

I do however have a bow which I use leisurely in my back garden, against a foam target.

 

Bows are fricken fun. they beat guns any day

Plus, bows are silent, guns are.... not.

 

I don't bow hunt yet but I do have a Bear bow that has a 55 pound draw weight.I just gun hunt mostly with my dad.Last year I shot a 7 point deer.(It was my first.)I use .243.I also hunt for squirells and I use a 20 gauge for them.

 

I have a pse bow with a 60 pound draw weight. 2 years ago i shot an eight point buck with a 22-250. I hope i get a buck wiht my bow this season, cant wait for season to open.

 

i hunt with a x bow one it in a game at a fair( good aim ftw?) it was a game were u had to hit the bulls eye and i did so i got a x bow and hunt with it.. im not good with regular bows tho

 

I bow hunt I am a big country boy with a computer only use it to post here though

Bow hunting just makes it more challenging. I mean you have to get the deer to come to you within about 45yds

I use a 30-06 or a 33 but it is to easy I mean a deer get 200yd or more and I can drop him dead right there

I could set on my porch and kill a deer with my 30-06

A bow just makes it more thrilling I mean when the deers that close it is just fun
BUT
sometimes a bow suck I had a a huge 8 points come out in front of me about 60-70yds which sucked because I knew my bow wouldnt reach so I tryed anyway and shoot low

Gettem this year using a gun if cant get him with a bow

Finn it isnt wrong as long as you eat the deer we always eat the deer and keep the hide to. My mom drys them out or w/e then usually sells

Do you eat meat? I think hunting your own game is better then buyin it from a store

gammer I think crossbows are illegal to use in alot of states it is here unless you are disable and not able to use a bow for some reason

Yeah crossbows are illigal where im at unless your handicapped.And we always eat our deer we shoot.We still got some deer meet in our freezer right now lol.

 

im thinking of actually taking archery classes in college
