Yep, I'm an alterna-rock person.

It's truly the best music, imho. The lyrics make a lot of sense (compared to things like "yo nigga what motherfucker?") and the music is better than the mindless guitar thrashing found in metal and the dull beats in rap/hip-hip.

Who's with me?

 

Well, I'm with you in a way. It does have nice, good lyrics. BUT, some rap does too. Not all rap is "YO MOTHERFUCKA GIME YO HOEZ BITCHEZ@!". Some is really good, like emotional, and touches some good points.

By the way that is a Black Metal Song. I'd like to hear an alternative rock song that brings the shear raw emotion found in black metal,I'd like to hear an amazing guitar solo in an alternative rock song,I'd like to go to alternative rock concert and compare it to that of a metal show and find the lack of passion and excitement amongst the fans.

 

I like Metal but I also love Alternative Rock. My favorite Alternative Rock song is Aerials by System of A Down. Listen to it, it owns.

 

Honestly, most Christian songs are deeper than that (and that sound sure does sound like a Christian song. Yes, there is Christian metal) and sound better.

If you've never heard a guitar solo in an alternate-rock song, then you mustn't have listened to much.

Most alternate rock concerts generate more interest than Metal. You'd get more people at a U2 concert than a metal concert any day.

Why is everyone listing christian rock bands?

 

I beg to differ, being a huge fan of Rock and Metal, having gone to tons of rock concerts, metal concerts, uk festivals etc I can truely say that your statement of more people at a U2 concert anyday is rediculous. I am a huge huge fan of U2, i've been to 2 concerts of theirs both with quite a big crowds of 50,000, i've been to many other metal gigs with 50,000+ people, most recently a metallica gig at the new wembley stadium, reported 65,000-80,000 people. The Iron Maiden gig in Rio, Brazil - 250,000 people. So yea... alot of known metal bands will easily match a crowd of a known rock band.

 

That was a Black Metal song,far from Christian metal,the complete opposite.

I never said there aren't any solos in Alternative Metal,Im saying can you honostly compare these solos to that of great metal bands such as : Exodus,Pantera,Metallica,Slayer,Children Of Bodom,Dragonforce etc,

I'm not talking about the amount of people but the amount of passion amongst these fans,their enthusiasm etc.

Moron as he stated before its not christian. get it right, and your a fool, although u2 is a big band you go to a place and have someone like children of bodom, cannibal corpse, metallica, slayer, mushroomhead and i hate to say it but even slipknot or dimmu borgir and you will get huge results aswell, along with tons of other metal bands i havent mentioned , and like someone also said you obviously are insturmentally illiterate if you think its easy doing a riff like some you will find in metal so either you listen to extremely untalented metal bands or there some shitty band that say there metal like some of these emo bands around that have no talent, and although i like alt rock to i dont think there is anyone on sythe that like rock\metal more than me has seen more concerts than me or listens to a more diverse amount of rock\metal than me and i can honestly say your wrong.

i go for: Nirvana, weezer, sum41, linkin Park,blink 182,guns n roses. SYstem of a down is okay =D So is green day, i like the old green day better

 

SOAD isnt Alternate Rock but i like em also LP is nice except their new album that one kinda sucks.

 

i dont really listen to alternate rock anymore gets to boring. lol
