No, you bring 28 pure essence and trade it for 28 laws, no essence back(freeloaders). It's faster because not many people go there. You give us essence and we give you laws, it's the same as the other world but you don't get the noted essence back.

 

Imho the service isn't that slow, 10-30sec max. If You have law tiara or talisman, You can go into the altar and find a trader instantly.
