CDT needs a reshuffle

I come bakc for 5 minutes and look what cuckery has happened. You faggots didn't listen, and look how pathetic sythe 2016 is. Just look at this sad excuse for a death, it's not even somewhat honorable.

Anyway, these faggots decided that my short story wasn't a short story because it fucking rhymed.
It met the requirements and didn't even go to the first voting stage because "CDT determined it wasn't a valid entry."

It fit the rules, so there is clealy cuckery and corruption among the faggots in cdt.

I found it suprising that every CDT member was enrolled in the Funrank raffle, making up like 50% of the people in the raffle. Besides that, I completed agree with @Blade and would fully support a reshuffle.

Honestly, I think the problem is that people on CDT don't know how to design good events.

- They should NOT be participating in events. Their job is to create, organize, and lead the events. Currently, they use 'participation in events' as a way to help measure activity of their members. If you have no other good way of measuring activity, you have too many members.
- There should've been no negative 'rewards' in the first place. I understand that you want to reflect the halloween theme of trick vs treat, but that's just poor event design.
- The event requirements were not well defined. I had trouble with my pumpkin carving entry because I used some tools to help control my mouse on the online pumpkin carver, which is just analogous to using dedicating pumpkin carving tools irl. My entry ended up being accepted, but Blade's entry not being accepted is silly in my opinion.
- If youre going to require all events for the fun rank, a staggered release of events is not a good idea. All the events shouldve been prepared and released at the exact same time so participants can allocate their time appropriately without having to abide by the relatively strict timelines. Your goal should be to get as many people as possible to participate in everything they like; the fact that there was not even dougle digits of non-CDT members in the funrank raffle is unacceptable.

All in all, these events could use a lot of work. But I still think that all the events were fun overall. Not the best job, but definitely better than nothing. Also, really like @Mootrucks weekly event idea.

Have you READ the entries allowed? I'm having a hard time believing that they were looked at systematically and without bias to determine which are allowed to begin the initial voting phase.

Look at them already changing their story, pathetic. I was told it looked like a "rap, not a story," because i hit enter and it rhymed.

We could of given better notice to those who were entered to the raffle, I agree. At the end of the day tricks are not even that bad, at least it wasn't infractions, site bans, or DNTs. Tricks for a raffle event sticks with the spirit of Halloween, it isn't dependent on whether someone was active or not. What was your trick again? 100 Sythe Gold lost?

I am sorry that you feel that way about the CDT. Although we're trying to expand on "developing the community" to extra alternatives that aren't revolved around events. Also none of us are in Richards behind, he really doesn't have much of a say for CDT anymore since the removal of majority of members. Re-elections for leaders have taken place. We're always welcoming new CDT members that feel they can bring a change and make a difference.

I'm not sure where you got that information from, but also incorrect. 4/12 participants where CDT members, all members who actively partook in every event and worked hard to be apart of the funrank raffle. 4/12 members being CDT is not even near 50%. Not every member of CDT was apart of the funrank raffle; Island, Felix, Time To Buy & -Ryan were not apart of the funrank raffle.

There isn't any need to a "reshuffle" as mentioned above. There has been a big amount of change with the CDT in terms of members/leaders.

@DaltyF you won a $15 donation prize, I don't understand what you have an issue with, if you can clarify why you feel disheartened, I'd appreciate trying to understand why.

we're all community members, so saying CDT shouldn't participate in events is a little odd.

 

CDT will never improve based on community feedback when they get defensive upon every bit of negative feedback. It's like I'm witnessing a middle school student driven event.

Sorry, I should've been more clear. You should definitely have some people participating in the events, but CDT members should not be participating for rewards, only to encourage participation of other members. The rewards are there to create excitement for an event and bring the general community together in a friendly competition of sorts. While CDT members are part of the community, they are above the need of being brought closer into the community; they are trying to bring other people closer into the community.

If a user wants to both help drive community interaction and still reap the benefits of community events, they should just be a volunteer and help with the events (@iMez), but not be official CDT nor lead any events.
