dont be so quick to lock threads

Recently i had made a thread and someone replied with something that I had said that I did not want. I simply replied ot them "cant you read?" After that someone flamed it then a mod came and got mad at me, called me a leecher and locked the thread. I never even got to explain myself. My reply wast even mean, not even close to many of the reply's that people leave and i got flamed for it. I am only asking that mods and other players think before they flame someones thread and not lock it without good firm reason like breaking rules etc.
