Orbs... why?

What is it about orbs that you all find so appealing that everyone has to have one? Is it because Atomic gave them to all the mods?

if you want one THAT bad, why not make it? there are tutorials out there to do it, these free orb threads are ruining the graphics forum, they make you look like a try-hard, and we know you aren't...

Seriously, they're just graphics, and you don't need 100000000000 people making them. I totally agree, I like how they look, but god quit begging for them. They're turning into userbars. If you want one use a tutorial, and if you don't have the right programs then you don't deserve one. My two cents.

 

Paint.net can make them.... Just a little hard! I like my avatar better anyhow!

i like my avvy way better... and i dont got photoshop to make my own orb.

 

TDD..like i told you on msn... i don't wanna have something that isn't mine, like..if i bought that sig of yours that i like so much, you said youd give me full rights so i can claim that its mine, well yeah, i could CLAIM that its mine...but in my mind..its not mine..i didn't make it...

i FINALLY got photoshop, and i made the orb that i'm using right now, and it only took me 3 freaking hours but..i'm glad i did it.

I didn't like em' so much at first, but they're okay for me as a temp-avvy. They don't look that bad, that look better than most avvys IMO.

 

There new and genetic. They stick out. They dont look THAT bad. but if you want a permanet avvy. i wouldnt use a orb.

 

orbs like so many other things in this forums have become pointless becuase everyobdy has em. My avatar is sweet anyway, tom delonge live....

 

I really like my orbs to be honest, they look very nice in my opinion. I'm thinking of making something new though. Just wait.

 

I have an orb, of sorts. Obviously, that's not all I have, but it's a good thing for people to learn how to make well. Granted, they are really popular, but eventually they will die down again around here, and the people who were making them for everyone will get better at them (hopefully, from the looks of things.) Everyone I see as of late doesn't take into the account of what a real orb looks like, just that it should have a shiny surface. That's not half the battle...

Not really. I would respect you more if you made something custom, and it was unique, and looked good, rather then having to see you with the same thing as everyone else.
