Someone logged in to my sythe account

Haven't logged in to sythe since 2 days ago, until now I login and I see a message in my inbox. The guy who logged into my account was negotiating with someone about buying a runescape account. idk how he managed to login to my account or find out my password but this website is totally not safe now, they've tried logging in to personal accounts, now if it goes every further to that I'm going to have to report an investigation, anyways can anyone give me any suggestions on what to do?

 

Imidiatly run an anti-virus, if you log in on your laptop usually try to change all your passwords VIA your phone if you can. Start with your email, sythe, anything that might be related to your email. My account was hacked and I believe it was actually through Facebook so you might want to change that also

 

Also set up 2step verification, otherwise you could request a temp ban until you know everything is secure. @dany925

 

It's not the websites fault. You've either visited a phishing link or gave someone too much personal information. No offense, but if it were a security issue here on site, I think there would be other accounts targeted before yours.

 

Honestly, 2fa solves most problems as no one can access your account without your phone.

Just run a virus scanner and proceed to secure any and all accounts connected to your email & Sythe.org (and honestly all other accounts).

Remember that you are responsible for any and all scams connected to your account, so requesting a ban is a viable option that I recommend until you are sure your accounts are secure.

If you ever see any strange emails from sites that you don't recognize, don't even open them. Just delete them. Don't use the same password for everything, and try not to visit links from people online (i.e. if someone sends you a link on Skype and you've only spoken to them once about a trade two months ago). Honestly, just don't visit corners of the Internet with which you're not familiar.

 

Not only did they login to my sythe they've logged in to my osrs account before this . I think this can be with Skype or some gold farming websites

 

Maybe you have a key logger?

People can disguise key loggers pretty well now a days. You can try a virus scan but it might not pick it up. Option one is trying to delete all recent files you may have downloaded. Two keep running virus scans, maybe invest in a decent program, I suggest kaspersky. Option 3, and most reliable choice is a factory reset of the device. It really just depends how much information was already gathered. It might be the best option unfortunately

 

If it's a keylogger then back up files you want and format your computer. Change your passwords on another computer if you can.

 

Well the first thing you need to do is 2 factor your sythe account, then run a full scan on your computer. Which as said above may not pick up the keylogger if the creator is smart
