Registered email changed?

Is there any way someone would be able to change my registered email address on my rs account without either having access to the email I had already registered prior to the change or through recovering my account?

I bought the account from a pretty trusted user on this site but the email I had registered has 2fa and doesn't appear to have any sort of activity other than my own or show any devices that aren't mine. I don't want to accuse him of recovering it but as far as I know there's no other way, both the password and registered email changed at the same time.

Also, sent in one recovery of my own with the recovery info provided and got denied which is understandable even with the right information I guess but I'm still very worried.

 

It's possible to request that the email be changed by contacting jagex. If they believe that person is the original owner of the account, they will change the email without them needing access to the email.

Like Lauri said, accounts are and will always be recoverable. It's always a risk.
