Picking marksman for support and going basicly full AD was a bronze move by ROX, their better than that, oh well SKT wins anyways

 

They won both those games though lmao. It totally worked and it opened up power picks for later. SKT was just too clutch.

Might as well be over, Samsung is simply playing better in every aspect.

 

Swept, Feels bad being EU right now but it must be even worse being NA .
KR final anyway, probably more SKT skins but who knows, SSG looking pretty strong.

I think SKT wins final pretty easily. 3-1 would be my guess. SSG looks good but SKT looks godlike.

Was at MSG yesterday, luckily a business trip to the city coincided with the date. Sat a couple rows back from Trick2G in section 102, bought my ticket for face value from a redditor.


I think SKT is going to win it all 3-1, but if Samsung's bot lane lane shows up then it could be a different story. Cuvee/Ambition match up pretty evenly with Duke/Bengi(Blank), and Crown should be able to hold his own against Faker especially if he gets Viktor.

 

SKT vs ROX was one hell of a series. Bit of a shame that they met in the semi's but the level of play there was really impressive.

Since the korean teams are so far ahead of everyone else it's really hard to get a judge on SSG when they haven't played against one. I'm going to assume they're not going to hold up against SKT and maybe get 3-0'd judging by how well SKT played in semi's but anything could happen.

 

Lord Faker will punish them

 

I think SSG has just gotten easy opponents tbh. Especially post group stage they had nobody good enough to challenge them much. And even so there were games they almost dropped. I think SKT is on a whole other level right now. SSG might get one but I'd be surprised if they got any more than that.

 

SKT nearly got dropped by ROX, i dunno about SSG but i'd say they're a better team than ROX. I'd say its going to be a 2-2 and then SKT will pull it off

 

No way man, you think so? I feel like Rox would dumpster Samsung. Rox was certainly not optimal in groups but they looked ridiculous in the Semis. I feel like they hid a lot of their pocket picks for the semis and shocked even SKT with their drafts. Rox had SKT beat but SKT's teamwork and macro play is just stupid good. I actually think individually Rox outskills SKT at most positions. I feel like SSG's biggest weapon is Crown and Faker will be able to neutralize that advantage.

Samsung is definitely the hottest team right now, but if we're looking at the scope of the entire year (which I agree is not really relevant given meta changes and the like) but if we do - Samsung didn't make LCK playoffs in Spring. They got swept in Summer playoffs and needed a Game 5 just to get to Worlds.

That said, they're battle tested and look primed up to make it a series. But I can't help but feel the stage may prove too great for them. It certainly did for Rox in the final last year against SKT. SKT just does not tilt or falter at all. And a lot of SSG's games against H2K were frenetic and sloppy and H2K simply wasn't skilled enough to punish them. SKT will punish all of those little mistakes.

And Wolf will not play as horribly as he did versus Rox. Which is terrifying. An SKT player can sandbag an entire series and it still hasn't been enough to beat them.

I've got SKT 3-1. But I suppose it wouldn't surprise me if Samsung won 2 or even won simply because their entire run has been pretty shocking. I had them barely making it out of groups originally.

And another statistic, albeit not very meaningful, is that SKT is 4-0 against Samsung this year, winning 3 series 2-0 and 1 2-1.

 

SKT's performance was questionable vs ROX, because they usually shit on them in most cases, so yeah im pretty sure SKT will 3-0 them

 

TBF ROX has improved quite a bit over the past year, and Peanut definitely fit better in the playstyle than Lee/Hojin. SKT also lost both games with Blank (Bengi was 3-0) and MF support (0-2).

 

Tbh i think SKT just loses games to make it seem other teams have a chance, if they just win win win it wouldn't be any fun

 

Damn that huge gm 3 throw by SKT should have been clean sweep. Might have a series now..
