What is wrong with Internet Explorer?

And yet you run windows, which is made by microsoft?

 

I started using FF 2 month ago and i can fully recommend you, its way faster way easier and i like it more... lol

 

Before microsoft came along with Mozzillas "tabbed browsing" they had nothing good.

They had a simple browser that anyone could make in Visual basic. Now they added a slower version of tabbed browsing....

My emachine has a 2.19 ghz amd 3000+ proccessor, 128 mb video memory, 1 gig of ram..... and when i open IE 7, it freezes for about 6-10 seconds, then decides to load the webpage, it froze everytime i went into hotmail. It has poor security, for say if you ever went to a website for cereals, or something. you get porn popups everywhere that wont close until you press yes, which in return downloads virus's, not only that, but its shit.

Firefox on the otherhand, has better bookmarking, better tabs (easier to navigate), Skins for your likings, the little search bar at the top right (love it), extensions, that arent just little bars going across the top of IE with linkable buttons. Way more security, whether you like it or not. Popup blocked is flawless. multipule profiles for your whole family, so everyone gets different bookmarks, not all together like IE would give. Different profiles gives different possibilities, like everyone can have their own skin, or their own homepage, or their own extensions. All around firefox is best your going to find.

IE is nothing bad to use, its just plainly less secure and less functional that FireFox.

I've actually never gotten a popup in IE, and i've never gotten a virus from it either. As long as you have antivirus and antispyware and all that shit, you're fine, and there's nothing wrong with IE...

 

personally i just switched like 10 minutes ago and it already seems a lot faster and also it has a spell checker for when i type in sythe. ya i think ff is a better choice so far.

 

oo... yea i use ie but i had firefox its better... and i need help someone look at my sig for my probs.

 

I use firefox sometimes but internet explorer is just better because firefox autodeletes your cookies and you have to relog in again which I am too lazy to do so I use internet explorer.

I beg to differ to those who say FireFox is faster..

 

Maybe you people should:
a. be less lazy
b. not download things that may contain viruses, hint hint, illegal shit

 

bigger buttons, not as confusing, just plain better.

firefox is okay. I use Opera .

Opera has adblock too, just right click and press block content and you can block just about any picture.

Opera has add-ons or extensions whatever you wanna call them but they are called widgets and they are just as good.

Opera is the most secure ATM.

Opera is fastest at loading and rendering pages.

If a page doesn't load right you can change the options to load it like IE or Firefox, great for sites that require IE or whatever.

Opera has a garbage bin meaning if you accidentally close a tab you can get it back.

Now, All these things are wonderful but it's still your choice, maybe it doesn't feel right using Opera but it's all your choice.

And one of the widgets is last.fm it makes a radio station on bands you like, it's awesome.

The only bad thing about opera is sometimes you have to edit the main file when wanting to addon something, that's a pain but still it's great

 

only thing I like about Firefox is it's an open source program, which means anyone can develop addons, skins, etc. for it. IE, on the other hand, is monitored by Microsoft, and anything that changes the way it works would count as a hack.

 

Ok fine, Im redownloading FF to give it another shot, you guys have convinced me.
