Agreed, I just cannot believe how bad TSM failed. I don't think they'd have gotten swept in a Bo5, way too good for that, but winning it all? Just no way. RNG and SSG were too much for TSM and Rox & SKT are likely a tier even higher than those two. We'll see for sure when SKT takes on RNG but wow. What an utter disappointment for NA. TSM almost needed 5 games versus that very same C9 in Summer Split Finals. Granted the meta changes and all that, but I think that really illustrates just how far the gap still is.

Even in a year where it *looked* like there was no overly dominant and shoe-in team to win worlds like years past, NA was still utterly atrocious. It's going to take some kind of SUPER SUPER SUPER team being built in NA to compete with China/Korea.

I hate to trashtalk about the one team i support but the only game they played seriously was game 2
I think Meteos is the weakest on the team right now, in like 50 smites during the whole worlds course he maybe got 2-3, i spent more time farming or just walking around in general than actually ganking and doing some noobish plays

Oh well 2017 the dream

P.S - i think in a Bo5 TSM would have the best odds off all NA teams by far

 

That game was ridiculous. Bengi had a bad game, I don't think he really did much that entire time. But Duke, god damn. Bring MaRin back.

It's a yearly occurrence type of deal. The outcome ends up being the same for the last few worlds regardless of what everyone believes coming into worlds. CLG tilts, TSM disappoints, Koreans win.

 

Haha you could just tell by that first game when RNG could barely close out a game with a 6k + gold lead that they were in trouble. SKT pretty much stomped those last 3 games. Maybe not game 4 as much but it definitely snowballed fast in their favor. SKT is just disgusting. I'm honestly pulling for them to get their 3rd Worlds Championship. It's good having a team set a super high standard for the future.

 

Duke is abit suicidal tho, i hope that, in due time his TP'ing reaches the same level as MaRin's

 

TP calls are typically a team call though, are they not? His TP top lane that one game was very questionable to say the least in game one.

Man, was hoping the chinese teams would put up more a fight, huge fan of the former 2014 Samsung powerhouses so it was sad to see them get stomped.
