My Theory on looking back in time

It could also ruin us because we could see things in that we weren't meant to see.

And for the person who poster about the airplane, i think thats the only way we would ever be able to time travel, maybe when going the speed of light.

I do not agree with you. If you look up in the sky and see all those stars most of them died already so you are looking at the universe how it was millions / billions of years ago so that means you are looking in the past / back in time.

 

ok listen to this..

If you were at a planet 1 light year from earth, you would see earth as it was 1 year ago because it takes light 1 year to travel a light year, self explanatory..

BUT.

Even if you did go faster than the speed of light, how would that effect that planet in any way? its still how it was, and how it always will be regardless of the time it took to get there.

You wouldnt see 10 years... you would see 10 light years, because a light year is the distance light travels in a year....and light is used in sight so it would take 10 light years to get from earth to your eyes....

You could.... travel in time, but this include several diffrent theories including the Hawkins paradox, wormhole, black holes....ect...very complicated to the less intelligent members....

Yes so you will see the earth 10 years ago not the current earth Because that will take 10 years to travel again... So with other words you will look into the past

Yeh from his book "A brief history of time" i have readed it its a good book.
But no one knows if you can travel back in time. They are just theories

 

The point isn't about traveling the speed of light what im trying to state is that if you were already there than you could look back in time.

Well, If you were able to travel faster than the speed of light, or through a wormhole... and you did look back
You would be seeing the earth at the time of how many lightyears u were away...
interesting to think about.
But if you were that far away... would the light even travel that far?
and if a really huge telescope would it be like trying to enlarge an image in paint?

So if you had a really really good telescope you could see whats going on on earth?

 

Then you are arguing against pure fact. You are not looking back in time, you are looking at something at a distance that took light a long time to travel, thus what you observe happened a long time ago. That's not traveling through time, not looking at the past.

 

I believe it is possible to see the earth at rewind, but you couldnt see what was going on, on earth because of the atmosphere clouds and ofcourse the distance.

 

What the hell? Isnt Light year the measure of the space diff? Like Yard or something like that? Lol.

 

A light year is a measure of distance, more specifically the distance it takes light to travel in one year.

Yes its theorectically possible but you would need a real good telescope =p, but that picture, are you saying christ was also somewhere else or what?
