Bitcoin?

I see a lot of people using bitcoin for trades. I have never used bitcoin and don't know much about it. When I go on the bitcoin site I dont see any sign up etc? Do I need to make a wallet? Which wallet do I use? how do I send/recieve payments?

Sorry for all the questions, but I literally have no clue about it.

May help you understand how the actual currency works. Won't make any sense until you understand wallets and all that though.
