Will £ rise against $ ?

Looking at the current currency between the pound and the dollar, there has been a major change since the UK voted for Brexit.
As i am going away to america in december im wondering if the dollar would rise fairly a bit since there is a US presidential election in november.

What are your thoughts? Should i exchange my money now or after the election?

 

The GBP is at a 31 year low... If you are exchanging your GBP for US Dollars, now is literally the worst time to do it.

I believe the pound won't rise any time soon until people see the effects of us leaving the EU. Obviously since no country has left before people have no clue what is actually going to happen.

 

I'm saying US Dollar is likely to fall in the 4th quarter, especially with a potential rate hike in December, presidential debates, and the actual election coming up. However, it would not be unreasonable to fall down even lower. I would certainly wait for NFP data to be released on Friday and make your decision then. I'm bullish on GBP personally. If NFP news is bad then I will expect USD value to fall - simultaneously the GBP would rise or at least stall out. Make your choice then.

Italy is likely to leave, if the Deutsche bank has any more problems that will fuck with the Euro Zone, and many are saying the US has initiated economic warfare with the Deutsche bank as well. The cherry on top is really all the political chaos going on with the Union. Like I said above, I am bullish on GBP.

 

Im soo pissed off ! The pound has dropped dramatically again today! Hopefully it recovers soon.

 

Unfortunately there was unannounced news from the prime minister of France, Frances Hollande saying "Britain must suffer consequences of leaving the European union." Piece of shit.

 

The Euro isnt doing any good either against the Dollar. What a bitch.

 

The thing is we haven't even really left the EU yet. Article 50 will be triggered in March so expect another fall.
