New Overwatch Hero - Ana

What are your guys thoughts on her? Anyone have access to the PTR and played her yet? Here's her Hero page with all of her abilities here and I also included her intro video below.

I'm just not looking forward to the combo of her ulting a Genji with his sword out. I think her kit is a really fun idea and can be useful for those who enjoy sitting in the backline.

 

The skill cap of Ana is EXTREMELY high compared to other heroes. She does decent damage and healing which is what you'd expect of an off support. A good Ana is a force to be reckoned with but even a decent one is more than likely a free kill.

 

The thought shared by most high ranked players is that she is a terrible hero. Really hate seeing her on my team, personally.

 

I guess she takes the term friendly fire to the next level.

Her sleep dart could pair well with Roadhog's hook, but she seems like a very underwhelming hero overall. Powerless at short range.

 

I watched a few vids. I don't think she's an ace in any situation. What I mean by that is, it would be more beneficial to the team if you were any other support character/other support characters do better in certain situations.

 

Is it possible to try it out somehow?

 

She's out now so if you just play a game you'll be able to pick her.

I honestly think she is a ton of fun to play, but overall pretty useless unless she gets some buffs or people start crafting team-comps around her (which I doubt will happen). If you want to snipe and wreck shit up from the backline, play Widow. If you want to heal / help out, play a Support or a tank. I just feel like she does a whole lot, but she does it all poorly.

 

Loving ana she's such a good hero I mainly play support heroes and she is definitely one of my favourites, hard to pick up at first but the more you play the more you realise how op she actually is

 

she's a decent fit to the overall hero-pool but i don't have much interest for her.

 

Ana is arguably the best healer in the game now it seems with the nerfs of the other healers. Ult is powerful with reinhardt (another insta pick) and her sleep can alleviate a lot of pressure for her team.

 

Her long range heals are quite good, ult makes your tanks unkillable + stopping things like McCree's Deadeye from a distance make her very good in competitive.

 

oh ya and it's funny that Ana ult counters itself without a good ana your team is much weaker
