Stakers

HI I want to create a good staker, that would be ownage in the duel arena and fairly easy to make. I just want to know:

what kind of stakers are decent?
what skills i should train
quests and etc.

it will have 48 combat...
it can max hit a 32 with obby maul...
and finish ancients quest and use ice burst...
that staker would own all

 

How do you go about getting 70 str?

Still open for suggestions people!

 

...train at crabs with iron scimmy... untill you get 60 str and the use obby maul to train

 

High lvl staking best would be like high atk mid str high def, 1 everything else

If I were you, get something like this:

80 atk
90 str
1 def
99 hp (hp is *very* helpful)


dds stake, no armor. That is how mostly everyone stakes.

Any stats can own as long as its 1 prayer.

 

range stakers pwn, but too many of them and they are a hassle to make.

 

Make a def noob, get 40 20 40 if you want to make some quick money but you won't have much people to fight. Get 50 25 50 if you have more time and would like more people to fight. And if you really want to make a lot then get 60 25 60.

 

rangers dont pwn if they cant stake =/.

Id suggest getting 80 str 70 attack and 60 def. Get def 60 so you aren't completely pure and will scare away a lot less people, while having the str and atk of a pure.

I suggest get your strength between 81-85, dont make it 80 or exactly 85 because that tends to scare people off if they look u up.

Keep your attack on a number that doesnt end in 0 or 5, again to get more stakers to duel you.
I'd suggest get your attack to 73, 74 or 79.

Defense, keep it at 60. Dont make it higher than 60 or lower than 60. 60 is a really good defense to have, because after you've won a lot in duel arena you can wear dragon armor, (never, never stake with armor, ever btw) and with 60 defense other players will find it much more dificult to hit you.

Alot of people might disagree with me, but I use 73 atk 74 str and 70 def armor off, no ammy, no mage, no range, no pots, no food, and staked 60 atk 99str and 80 atk 80 str and won about 4/5 of my duels.

Keep your prayer level at 1, don't raise it.

You would probably like to train mage (for teleports, but not neccasary in duels at all)

Range, just depends on what you want.


Now, how to stake.

Always use a dds and whip, or dds and scimmy.

Put all armor off. All of it. Take off amulet unless you have a fury. NEver duel with ammy on without a fury.
Never be leniant with your rules, if they try to change a rule before u click accept, just decline and say "nty"

Look up everyone before you fight them, I suggest using Covey's EliteSwitch which has a built in highscores.

Always put range, mage, pots, food, and prayer off. Also forfeit should be off (xloggers) and movement is optional.

After you put your rules and cash, let your opponent accept first, so u can look over and see if hes scamming at all, and always double check the second box. If u think someone switched the rules, decline and rechallenge.


Dueling Tips

-Try to make an unobvious name, like toadfish12948.
-When at the duel arena and looking for stakes, dont wear any armor and just put on a dds.
-Always start with 4 dds specs, then switch to whip and attack the other person
-if you have no movement wait till the countdown timer reaches 1 before clicking your opponent, most of the time you'll hit them first
-Try to make friends with duelers, so that they will duel you again and again.
-NEver give back what you've won, if they want it back, stake it back
-If you log in and you lose your first duel, stop dueling for an hour. duel again, if you lose stop for an hour again.
-start with 10k stakes and around1m cash, so you can get the feel for staking and to build up your cash
-after you have double what you started with, stake more, and keep staking more until you're ready to stake mils.
-If you lose against one person, do NOT duel them again until you have dueled someone else. 9/10 times you will lose again. Wait a little bit before dueling someone again! THat is probably the most important rule in staking. If you lost, say your santa to character x. You need to stop staking for maybe an hour. If you stake character x again, chances are you'll lose again!
-Always listen to that little voice in the back of your head that says "dont duel him" It's OK to deny challenges and get most people mad at you, if you get that feeling that this guy wil beat you, dont duel him. Yes you might have won, but you most likely wouldnt have. You need to know who to stake, which after experience you will learn what stats to stake against, what stats to avoid, when someone wil get lucky and beat u.
-Also find out if you're better dueling with movement on, or without. I think this makes a difference with alot of wins/losses.
-NEver stake all your cash, if you do you're just stupid.
-Always quit while your ahead!
-Always remember, even if you lose your santa, or get cleaned, its just a game.

Tips on leveling-

Train at cows till 40 attack and 40 strength. (try to get strength up first)

Then train at rock crabs till x strength and x attack and x defence.


Other things to avoid in Dueling Arena

Watch out for the meleers that put obstacles on for no reason, they will attack you, run behind a wall before u can attack back, and repeat. Always fight in an open space if you're in obstacle arena.

Never 2x players, most of the times you'll lose.

Watch out for suspiciously lower levels. E.g. If your combat is 70 and you're staking 1m, and a level 45 comes up and says he'll double you, be suspicious.
Duel him and win, but make sure it's your rules only, and you've looked him up.

Anyways, i forgot to mention that on a defence noob staker you should only stake strength pures or weaker defence noobs, you might win against rangers but it rarely happens so I wouldn't do it. Also, a lot of people want to stake you thinking your a str pure if you just wear crap like iron or monk robes so remember to do that to. Then when the duel starts just put rune/dragon on.

 

I just wont 40m from staking like this:
Full veracs, Everything else off.Pray on

Get 70 def 80-99 str 70 att 43 pray. pray on move on spec off all off exept veracs armor.And you should win pretty decent stakes. Once again won me 40m

 

i disagree with what you said about mage... many stakers use ancients magic

get range 77 def att stre 1 pray 1 mage 77 and go to arena
