that sounds like a good idea because as the prices are going way to down i mean 2 bucks for a 1mill lol i rather leave it sitting on my old rs acc than let someone else get it without any effort.

I agree and dont agree. I like the idea because each trade would be worth my time instead of doing many $3-$4 trades.

I dont like it because if we refuse to sell bellow 5-10m, people will just start going to websites. Also, those small trades do add up. I am willing to try this if other big time GP Merchs will all try it together.

Now your just beeing plain rude.
First of all, he isn't commenting negatively on the chinese as a whole, nor on their culture, but rather on the specific few of them that farm gold. I respect asian culture myself, and even have a few friends there, yet i don't freak out. Baka.

Second of all, the reason people post "good job" and "nice idea" is not just to get your post count up, but to show your appreciation for the good idea.
Post count means nothing, not every post is just to get your post count up.

    Good idea sythe. :)

i dont see how this is going to improve profit i mean it will increase the speed of sales maybe, because you will be selling 10m at a time. but still for $30 its still $3 ea.

He actually spent quite a few lines explaining how it will increase profit..
The whole problem is mill prices are too low. Merchants make money by buying and then re-selling things. When they re-sell they obviously do so for more than they bought it.
This is also what shops, company's and such do.
The price increase is usually very small, 5-10%. Not that much, but when the product is expensive, it soon adds up. For example: When mills were about $6 each, people sometimes made up to a dollar profit each sold mill.

But when mills are $2 each, and people up the price by 10% they make an extra 20 CENTS.
This is hardly worthwile when selling 1mill at a time. The moment you start selling about 10m at a time, you suddenly make 2 DOLLARS a trade, making it worthwile doing it again. Problem solved.

If you still don't get it now i'll smack you on the head, see if that solves the problem :p

Either I'm missing something, or nobody is thinking very deeply at all about this.

How is it a good idea? The first assumption you have to make is that GP sellers will agree to "boycott" selling low GP amounts. This -may- be possible if we were only talking about the bigger GP sellers like (r2, fire, etc.) but with the huge amount of people selling a few mill here and there JUST on Sythe, it's not likely to happen.

Even if this decimill system was implemented, would it really benefit the GP sellers? Sure, it'd be more beneficial per trade (a $2.00 profit at once versus a few 60 cent transactions or whatever), but there would be far fewer trades conducted. If little Jimmy has $10 to spend on gold, and you refuse to sell him the 3-4m he wants, what incentive does he have to make more money and buy more gold, especially with these large Asian gold rings such as virgoods and the like.

The decimill system would encourage low volume buyers to go to these gold rings, which would encourage the rings to raise their gold prices. This would trickle down to Sythe eventually, raising the prices of the mills a bit...only further encouraging the decimill system to be abolished as small volume trading would become worthwhile again. This would only be temporary, it would all cycle through again.

I think GP prices will remain constant if not lower a tiny amount. The root of the "problem" of low GP prices is not in the sellers, but rather in the HUGE influx of gold coming in. It's simple supply and demand, and the supply of gold is increasing drastically.

For the record, when I first joined Sythe years back, I remember Jansen or White Rabbit (I think?) buying gold for $9 per mill and selling them $15 mill.

I Like This Idea But Rs Mills Are Still Under Priced:S think about it... a rs membership costs like 10$ and they get sold for 1m on here.. and 1m's get sold for 3$ each? Unbalanced eh?
