CAUTION! - MSN Display Picture Keylogger!

Someone has found a exploit in MSN.

He is now Key logging people, Via MSN display picture.

Be cautious as to who you add on MSN, he only has to get you on their.

Make sure they PM You the Email before adding you!.

I'm 95% sure this is how Annex and The_Prodigy(Fagex Admin) got Key logged.

Again, Be cautious who you add to MSN, i'll keep you updated.

 

Smart people have had them turned off since last time this happened.

 

try reporting it to msn, see what happens

Just turn off your display pictures and you don't have to worry about this.

1. Load up msn messenger.
2. Go to tools.
3. go to options
4. go to general
5. uncheck the box that says "show display pictures from others"

Agree with upper post,altough when you start convo with person your computer loads a picture from him/her and applies it to display..

 

It's happened to me, the guy admits to getting annex aswell... If someone asks you to log in to rs for no apparent reason DO NOT do it. This is his technique of getting mills.

Well, think about this. MSN displays the picture automatically, doesn't it? How easy would it be for someone to make it so it "displays" an exe file that your client automatically runs?

before i didn't think it's possible but it is a direct connection because if someone changes their dp you can get their ip with a msn script.. so its the same thing as transfering files.

Good. You understand. Instead of opening and displaying the picture, it opens the exe file.

 

If scammers that do this type of shit put their mind to good use.....Man, think what they could do for the community!!!!

Too bad scammers are scammers. As I said, if a lot of them turned good they'd be very helpful to a lot of people. Especially in preventing this type of stuff. Good thing this was caught on to, I just turned mine off aswell. Thanks
