    Standby Memory is high

[IMG] Is this normal? I've been noticing tons more lag with my games in the past 3-5 months. I've also noticed recently that my standby memory is extremely high at almost all times. Now I have 8gb of RAM and my standby has been around 4gb as the picture shows. I restart my computer and it fixes it for maybe a few hours then it's back to the picture above. Is there an internal issue or is this stuff normal?

Edit: Usually my In Use is around 3gb so that leaves a bit over 1gb to play games and that doesn't really help :|.

    Standby Memory is high

It's completely normal and correct. Standby memory is just stuff Windows has preloaded into ram for you. It will contain code and data for programs it sees you have used recently. If you go to use that program it won't have to load as much into memory as a lot of it will already be in memory. If something else needs to use the memory, Windows will simply clear up some of the standby memory and give it to what needs it.
