Well today i bought an account for my santa hat, the trade went smoothly but an hour later the password had been changed and i had set recoverys and changed the password.

I tried to recover, i answered all the recovery questions perfectly and gave 3 passwords that were used for the account on that day. I also added the person i was dealing with' e-mail address. it did not work, when purchasing the account i was given his previous pin and passwords i have tried these and suprisingly they don't work.

When i got the account i signed it up for 1 months of members, does anyone know if through that i can have a claim/legal claim onto the account. If not, how would i get a re-fund for my membership fee - at the same time this would ban the scammers scamming account.

Try to recover it via the member pin. that usually always works.

 

Okay that happend to me today by a guy Omegra I gave him 1.3M for the account and he recoved I also Put recovrys on I dont know what to do though

 

Recover it using all the info you were given, but use the memb pin you just set. That should work.

 

what they said, plus u dont have any "legal claim" to the account cuase the account isnt ur property its intulectial property of jagex ltd. and u can cancel the payment by contacting ur cc company or bank and say u didnt authorise those payments

 

Thanks, although im pritty sure that the previous passwords etc. he gave me are all wrong. Im trying every combination with as much detail..

 

it might not work if the scammer bought a newer membership.... after canceling the one that Mo55 pker bought

 

He can also cancel it right on the page, go to cancel , and it asks to log into the acc or just give the info of the cc just chose give the info of the cc then all memberships with that cc will be terminated.

And chances are you wont be getting it back to be honest... your best bet is if you really want to buy an account , and you get the recoveries (all you need for this) is keep puting the recoveries in and changing the pass, after about 10 times or so, it will say something along the lines of "sorry due to repeated attempts we are no longer accepting recovery from this account ) but then you must remember then to keep your password extra safe because if you get keylogged or someone figures it out you share the acc etc. you cant recover the account. so its kind of like a double edged sword, anyways hope i helped. goodluck with all this.
