I know Javascript abit. And anyone who knows alittle about programming knows the difference between java and javascript. But imo javascript is useless. The filters are so easy to bypass.

Javascript is fun to use etc, but it's very insecure. Login passwords can be found simply by viewing the page's source.

PHP is the way to go. It's reliable, easy to use and very secure. It's just great, too bad I don't know how to code in it!

    why no javaScript?

I would disagree that Javascript is useless. Useless to you guys because you don't know what you are doing, also its useless to the person learning it in school, its very easy with javascript to send packets of shellcode to specifically targeted dlls and run another thing at the same time meanwhile php can't do anything close to as good. Best command available for clandestine means is system and even that is limited in ways.

PHP and Javascript are good in two different ways. PHP is good for logging, contact forms and such. Javascript is just fun. I can't really see anything big or commercial coded in Javascript tbh.

Although like Annex said, you can do some quite unique things with JS.

Most of you guys completely missed the point of Javascript. Javascript's purpose is not security but interactivity. It's a completely different beast than serverside languages and should not be compared to them.

Javascript is amazing and quite powerful when you add in the HTML DOM and CSS, i.e. DHTML. Then you always have that little gem called AJAX.

It's a far from useless language.
