Scar = Trojan?

Well i decided to get some fast fm levels on my pure, so i started Scar and POW my Anti-Virus bitchslapped me.. The picture says everything:

 

In SCAR 3.xx/includes/SRL/SCARBrowser these is a file called SCARBrowser.exe

Unfortunately, it has been coded with the same methods as one particular virus and so AVG picks it up, even though it is safe

To get rid of this, simple delete SCARBrowser.exe

The whole thing is being recoded so that hopefully in the next release of SRL, there won't be a problem.

 

But why do it take it as Torjan Horse Generic5.LVC and not just SVARBrows.exe?

Generic5.LVC is a type of trojen horse not the file.... Trojen horses are in the code....

 

I had the same problem also. So it is not a keylogger and it does not hurt your computer?

 

It is not a virus, it's just being picked up as one. Just ignore it.

 

Sophos keeps deleting it how do i make sophos anti-virus ignore it?

 

its not a virus unless its in the code that you get which is very rare here cause people check them and anyways for the thumbs up it auto picks it up as a virus pending on your scanner

 

You can delete SCARBrower if you please, barely anyone uses it.
However, it is safe. My antivirus has also picked it up, and i let it delete it.
