What can we do to improve black culture in America?

I think just about all of us can agree that the dominant culture in black America promotes anti-intellectualism, gangs, violence, welfare freeloaders and single moms.

This behavior even effects educated blacks with income equal to whites

Now the question is, what can be done to change this culture into one that doesn't cause so many problems?

Also:

Rap, which glorifies:
- Racism (Yes, a black person hating a white person for being white is STILL racism, dumb shits.)
- Sexism
- Antisocial behavior
- Drug use
- Crime
- Violence
- School shootings
- Gangs
- Blaming everything on whitey
- Rape (in some instances)
- Materialism
I've heard lyrics speaking of all these things and more in rap music.

I agree. Rap does generally talk about all the things mentioned. But that doesn't make RAP a bad influence. If you take what you hear in music, and apply it in your life...That is your own fault, not that of the artist.

With that said:
I think alot of the problem is the fact that blacks are generally more racist towards whites, then we ever were to them. They even admit to it on national TV, and nothing happens to them. But if we say one even slightly negative thing about them, we get jumped.

For those about to say: Yeah but we made them slaves!
True, but look at the way they treat us. If they had the ability nowadays to enslave us, do you honestly doubt that they would?

Because of this, alot of people are less willing to help them; which negatively impacts their lives and culture.

 

Ok now that you've edited your post, I have some input on the rap.
Rap sucks, it always has - always will. But there are white people that rap too, but you're blaming all the lyrics n such on black people and saying they're all bad people still.

By calling black people African American, you are implying that the person is African (because it's inconceivable that black people could come from Haiti, India, Trinidad, Dominican Republic, Brazil, Australia, or Jamaica). Nevermind that; BLACK PEOPLE ONLY COME FROM AFRICA.

Second, calling them American makes you a presumptuous dick. They could be from anywhere in the world.

Anyhow, rap was spawned from black culture, not vice versa. So rap isn't to take all of the blame.

 

I have to agree with this, the African American culture at the moment is giving a pretty bad name to the rest of the African American society, I mean talking about shooting, being a hustler in your songs can't have a positive output.
Because these singers such as 50 Cent are acting like role models to those who listen to his music and he really shouldn't be a role model when he's singing about that kind of shit.
Or maybe it's not the singers fault, maybe people just take to much of his singing into account. I mean, it's just a song right?
Like the Columbine Shootings were said to inspired by the popular shooting rpg game, ''Grand Theft Auto,'' but only the real retards in society like to take it into account and just force it upon their friends.
None the less I have several black friends who listen to 50 Cent and play Grand Theft Auto yet they still go to a Private High School, recieve 80% averages, live normal lives and don't carry a weapon.
Maybe some people are just too impressonable.
