I'm ready for CLG to dumpster them against like MSI.

 

G2 probably have the easiest group to make it out of group stages IMO.

Would love to see it bro. I definitely think the gap is closing.

Though TSM might be in some trouble, their scrims with SKT leaked on Youtube. And it's very obviously a TSM based leak because their voice comms are embedded in the video. Might make Korean teams not want to scrim with them if they can't keep their content locked up. They take that pretty seriously.

This is going to be a fun group. Any of the teams could advance and SKT could falter with Blank's inconsistency. Would be stupid to bet against them though.

C9 is just a good bet because has Impact ever been better? He is arguably the best top laner in the group and his ability to play 2 v1, drawing jungle attention, allows Jensen and Sneaky to get advantages.

Will the real Westdoor stand up? Ahq looked dominating in the LMS regional qualifier and it was Westdoor showing a deeper champion pool than he ever has. H2k could advance but they struggle to make positive macro decisions and tend to let games go late. However, Forg1ven is in his element with standard lanes and may will them out of groups.

Group D

Samsung is the only team I am certain will make it out of this group; they just find ways to come out and dominate games they should lose (20-1ing KT is not a joke).

TSM should be a favorite to make the finals. Obnoxiously talented. Biofrost is underrated and Bjerg has brought his game to another level. With that being said... I could totally see them tilting and flaming out of groups.

RNG is that darkhorse. Obnoxiously talented but just never play as a team. If they can stop sacrificing Looper, they could be a darkhorse to get very far.

 

@RufflestheKitten love how you describe TSM lol. So true. They could either go to the final or tilt out of groups. It's amazing there's that much of a difference in terms of potential & possibility. They did look pretty nervous against C9 in the finals, if they bring those nerves to Worlds, they're screwed.

I know coaching and helping xmithie to be a real jgler.

 

xmithie isn't CLG's problem. I'd argue that he's been their most consistent player and deals really well with overly aggressive lanes and overly aggressive enemy junglers. Zion/Darshan really has struggled to adapt to the Summer meta where his split-push oriented style really doesn't work; he's never been an outstanding team-fighting top laner. Huhi still lacks confidence so makes huge mistakes. Aphro can make over-aggressive shot calls. The reason CLG won't make it out of groups is simply they aren't good enough.
