Download MSI afterburner. Run it and put it off to the side while you play a game that causes you to have FPS issues. Monitor the clock/temperature of your card. If the temp spikes above 70-80 degrees, and your clock rate dips, then the issue is thermal throttling.

If this is indeed the case, one mitigation step we can take is to raise your fan curve. If this still doesn't help, you may need to replace your GPU.

 

Il do that. My other issue is just getting inconsistent FPS in RS3 (max graphics). Sometimes il start it up and it will stay at 60 fps other times i start it up and it stays at <10 fps. Then other times it will start at 60 and drop when loading a new area and stay low at <10 fps.

On min quality Im sometimes even getting stable 20 fps.

 

Follow the aforementioned steps, we're trying to identify the exact cause of your issues ATM.

Once the cause has been identified, we can start pursuing a fix.

@n4n0 is this speccy motherboard temp something to worry about. Tried a few diff checkers and they say the same but the support i emailed says its probably a visual bug with the softwares

 

Seems like the issue is with the mobo then. I'd recommend replacing it or getting an RMA

 

The company who made the PC seem adamant its not the issue. Im thinking it is but not sure :/
