Skimboardin'

Anyone skimboard here? If so, what type of board do you have?

I just recently started skimboarding last summer and I use my friend's Meyer medium (they suck, but eh, it's a skimboard) and am getting a Zap Medium Pro for Graduation:


And I'm halfway decent, so don't tell me the board's too good for me or whatever, I know how to skimboard enough to own this board.

dang, that looks hecka fun. so basically its surfing on the smaller waves?
i have one question, wouldn't you lose your board easily?

 

those are pros, they are really good... mainly skim boarding its like skimming across the flat piece of water

 

You ride the sand into the waves and surf 'em, do tricks and shit. It's easier to lose your board, yes, but remember, you're also on flat sand so you can run after it. The boards float, so they won't dig under the sand and run away from you or anything.

EDIT: And yes, the people in that video are pros and are crazy at Skimmin'.

 

dude that one vid that dude posted is hawt, i can 360 shovet on a skimboard if it counts...lol...

 

Or even hide like Osama Binladen? But I mean I know it floats, but if your going to be on a huge ass wave, the board might go ahead of you and some person might pop out of nowhere and steal it.

Lol once i went to the beach and tried to skimboard, but fell and fractured my tailbone... Never did that again

Yea i skimm board when i go to my house over at block island. Its fun but i dont know what kind of board I have.

Don't you guys go on vacation ever? Buy a cheap little 50 dollar board from some benny shop or somethin' and use it once or twice. It'll be worth your while... Skimboarding is tons of fun.

although i prefer sk8ing, yeah it looks fun.
