    What do you Read?

    How often and what do you all read? Any favorites you would suggest?

    I'm looking for some more light-reading as a break from the other material I am used to reading.

    Few things I've recently read:

    • Ready Player One and I loved the book. Seriously, check it out.
    • The Harry Potter books for the first time this summer and those were also pretty good.
    • Currently reading the book Ceremony (for a literature and ecology class) that is centered around a Native American with PTSD from WWII and it's not really my kinda book, but it's pretty alright.

    What do you Read?

    I used to read a lot of fiction (my favorite were Clive Cussler novels) but in the past five years I've probably read maybe three books on my own time--I'm pretty sure my smartphone is to blame for that problem. I would read a chapter or two of a book every night before bed and it'd help me get to sleep. Now I just lay there on my phone browsing social media or Sythe then go to sleep.

    Not currently reading anything. Need to drop by a library and pick up an interesting book and try to get back into reading before bed rather than staring at a screen.

    I don't read a lot outside of the internet but I've been reading a biography of George Washington and it's absolutely amazing.

    What do you Read?

    At the moment I'm reading:

    Venture Deals;
    The Seventh Sense;
    The Rise of the Robots; and
    The Pyramid Principle.

    The Pyramid Principle is actually a really good read on how to write with clarity; it's tailored more towards the business world however.

    What do you Read?

    Do you have trouble reading several books at once? I'd always imagined it'd be infinitely easier just sticking to one.

    Currently reading Quiet, a case study of introversion.

    What do you Read?

    Depends on the book really, but I find the books I'm reading at the moment are fairly light. I usually spend more time on one or 2 books on the list however, so it kind of ends up like 70% completed, 40% completed, 15% completed, 10% completed, etc, depending on how interesting I find the book.

    What do you Read?

    I'm really into sci-fi and dystopian novels. I'm currently reading Galapagos by Kurt Vonnegut, though I'm not that far into it yet. As far as Kurt Vonnegut goes, Sirens of Titan is my favorite, which is about free will and humanity and its purpose. Two others that I would recommend are The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury (a short story collection about the colonization of Mars) and Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury (a classic which some of you probably have at least heard of -- it's about a dystopian world where books are outlawed and where firefighters are the ones that set fire to houses that are found to have kept books).

    What do you Read?

    I read a lot of everything. From classics to pop culture. Although it's ridiculously mainstream because of the movies, I actually would recommend The Hunger Games and Divergent. Even though the Divergent movies didn't do so well in the box office, the books are great. And I read and loved The Hunger Games before the movies came out and couldn't put them down. But maybe with all the movie hype, you will feel like the story is a bit ruined for you. Depends on the type of reader that you are and what you are hoping to get out of it.

    What do you Read?

    I'm on my 4th re-read of "A Song of Ice and Fire", the book series that the show "Game of Thrones" is based on. Definitely my favourite series of all time.

    What do you Read?

    Apposed to popular interest, I couldn't get into the Game of Thrones. I bought all the books for about $20 thinking I'd read them but haven't (yet?). It's one of those things I've tried to like just so that I could be in the know, but I couldn't get through the struggle. My grandfather really likes the book series and TV adaption though.

    What do you Read?

    It wasn't necessarily hard to read, but his style of writing isn't what I can find enjoyable while reading a book for fun I guess? I'm also more into futuristic sci-fi/fantasy than old-time fantasy, so that probably had something to do with it. :p

    Those are great reads - Kurt Vonnegut is especially one of my favourites. If you haven't yet, try out some of Isaac Asimov's stories!

    I absolutely love the epic/fantasy genres. Authors like John Marco, and Tad Williams are an amazing choice. The Sword Of Angel's is one of my all time favorite series.

    What do you Read?

    Ready Player One is honestly my favorite book. You should read Ender's Game if you haven't. The movie is so shit comparatively so please read the book and don't base the book off the movie.
