Looking to start.

Heya

Im looking to start working with making signatures and banners and stuff, but i have no clue how to do anything lolz =(. So i was wondering if anyone would know some programs i could download, and a good starter tut. Any of this would be nice, also any tips would be very appreciated.

First thing you want to get is a program, from what I have heard there is only 2 good options:
1.Photoshop (use it myself)
2.GIMP (not sure if spelled right)

After you got them search on google really simple instructions on how to use each program (so you know where paintbrush,gradients,paint buket... are)
After you go used with the program you need to start with sigs/banners:

If you are using photoshop, dowload these files:
1. starter pack: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=161064 conatins (brushes,renders and more pics) really usefull when you don't know what to create. Don't forget to instal brushes

2.Collection of 200+ tutorials of sigs: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=232872 these tutorials use photoshop to make them. USE THESE TUTORIALS FOR MAKING YOUR BANNERS/SIGS
