Cloud9 vs TSM - Summer Split Finals 2016 / Pre Worlds Discussion

Already that time of year - the last big match before Worlds 2016.

Who do you got? Who do you want to win?

TSM has looked unstoppable this split. 17-1 in the regular season and curbstomping CLG 3-0 in the Semis.

Do you think TSM will beat Cloud9? Do you think TSM is an actual legitimate threat to contend for the World Championship in October?

I personally think TSM will 3-1 C9. But I don't think they'll win Worlds. China/Korea/Taiwan/ even EU (in groups at least) all have teams that can take out TSM.

Hell, for those not paying attention, EDG had an undefeated regular season and are in the finals now.

My Ranking of teams I favor to win Worlds:

1. SKT - They always turn it on when the stakes are highest. Look no further than 2015 Worlds or 2016 MSI.
2. Rox Tigers - One of the only teams that consistently bother SKT.
3. EDG - Like a phoenix from the ashes, 2015 MSI EDG might be back.
4. Royal Never Give Up - Had a great MSI 2016 run, can they replicate it here? Won LPL Spring Split and are in Finals in Summer vs EDG.
5. TSM - The lone great NA hope?

Teams I think could cause problems in a group stage setting but not ones that I think can win it all:

1. G2 Esports - Winners of Europe in Spring Split. Horrible MSI 2016 showing, but changed the roster significantly and are in Finals of Summer Split 2016 vs Splyce.
2. Flash Wolves- Always a tough out. Probably the best Taiwanese League of Legends squad. 2-0'd SKT at MSI Groups 2016.
3. Cloud9 (if they qualify) - Had a good showing at 2015 Worlds. Can throw a lot of different styles of play and unique comps at you.

What do you think? Who takes NA LCS SS finals? Who are your early favorite(s) for Worlds 2016?

Yeah I feel like C9 needed game 2 as well and they got stomped. TSM definitely probably gonna 3-1 but we'll see. C9 is weird.

TSM wins 3-1, crazy game 4. Could have easily seen a game 5.

Skt will win worlds , Rox tigers(koo,ge) or edg 2nd no na teams will make it out of group stage , yoe flash wolves are meh same with ahq , Eu is weird this year first time fnatic hasn't been in the finals

 

I could see TSM making it out of groups but it will take quite the effort. It's not a good sign that they looked nervous yesterday. Cloud9 is good, but nowhere near the caliber of teams they'll have to get by at Worlds (not the top tier teams at least). To compound the problem, there's a high probability SKT ends up in the same group as TSM since they're the #2 seed in Korea behind Rox. SKT would probably 2-0 TSM leaving them in an immediate hole where they'd have to likely sweep the rest of the way to advance. If EDG or a strong chinese team ends up in that group too, TSM is probably dead in groups.

 

DL's positioning and kiting throughout the series was up to his standards, which benefited the team vastly. I can't remember which game it was, but DL landed a perfect Cull (sp?) on C9 that it pretty much won them the team fight ====> win game.

 

Clinching game no less that was Game 4. If C9 wins that fight we get a game 5.

 

They need to let me adc for tsm I'll show doublelift how it's done with my bronze 2 status
