There is a huge difference between a spyware and a keylogger, a spyware aims seeing what sites you visit, what are your habits in order to try direct you to some "sponsored" sites, a keylogger aims hacking you.

Spywares are generally easy to get rid off, they end up to be some files you have to delete in your hard drive, and they aren't a huge threat.

Keyloggers are a huge threat, and they are based on rootkits techniques, that means they work "behind" your OS, so basically you cannot see them (including any antivirus you try running) once you run one of them.

I might direct you to download Panda rootkit revealer , it still beta but might help a bit (if he found anything, you better reinstall your machine from scratch).
