Scar Script Basics​

Section I – Introduction/Contents.

I am very new to SCAR Scripting. Basically in this guide I run you through the basics. Hopefully you will understand how to load “free” and or “bought” scripts. I hope that you will also be able to debug some minor script errors after reading this.

Section II – How to install SCAR.

You will first need to download the software off of the internet. The only place I recommend is freddy1990.com. After kinetics stopped the distribution of SCAR freddy1990 took over the task of updating and maintaining SCAR. Click on “SCAR” under programs.



Then Click on the big “Download SCAR Version: 3.06” button.



You can choose to save this to your desktop or just open it. When this is complete rune the executable. Follow the on screen instructions. Once this is complete you should have successfully installed SCAR on your computer.

If you kept freddy1990.com open and in the SCAR section, I suggest that you download the “Patch”. It is located right below the big button you previously clicked.



Once again save this file or just open it. When the file has completed the download open it. Follow the on screen instructions. This should take no more than a minute.

Section III – How to install SRL (Must have)/Includes.

Installing SRL

The easiest way which is also the way I recommend would be the following. Double click on the SCAR file on your desktop.



Click on “File” and then click “Download SRL”.



At the bottom you will see “Downloading SRL plug-ins". This will take some time to complete. Once you see “SRL version 380 has been downloaded and installed” you are complete.



Installing Includes

Basically you do the same thing as installing SRL. When SCAR is open, click on file, “Download Includes”.



This will do the same thing as downloading SRL. Once you see that the Includes was successfully downloaded we can now verify that it is all working.

Verify

You will need to goto the root directory of SCAR. To get there double click “My Computer” on your desktop. You will then want to double click “C:\”. From there we will be going into the folder called “Program Files”. Within this folder you should see a folder called “Scar 3.06”. Once there you will want to go in the “includes” folder. Double click on the “SRL” folder. Now you will see a file called “SetupSRL.scar”.



Double click this file.

Once the file is open you will want to run it. Click the little green arrow at the top of the window.



A pop up should pop up and ask you if you want to allow this. You should click “Always Allow”. Once you allow it, another window should pop up with the title “SRL Settings Form”.



If you see this then you have successfully set up SCAR and SRL.

Section IV – Loading your first script.

Assuming that you have successfully installed SCAR and SRL, you are now ready to learn how to load scripts. I suggest going to SRL-Forums.com for all of your scripts. They have an excellent verity of free and paid scripts. Once you have downloaded a script to your liking you probably want to start cheating as soon as possible. Double click on the “xxx.scar” file that you downloaded. It will open up in scar. Most scripts will have directions at the top of the script. If you follow the instructions exactly as they tell you, you should have no problem getting the script to work..

[ 6. Have Axe in First inventoryslot or wielded and more in the bank ]

Once you have completed the list of instructions you will need drag the crosshairs over to the client window. In this case it would be the Runescape window. In the “Status” box below you will see “User specified a new RS window.” After you see that you can now start the script. Click the little green arrow to start the script. Hopefully the script works and you are on your way to “Cheating”.

If you have followed the instructions and the script is still not working, then I suggest you goto the place where you downloaded the script. READ, I repeat READ the thread before you ask how to get it to work. No one likes to repeat the same answer to a question more than once. Most of the time your question will already be answered within the thread. If your question has not been answered then you should post it. Someone should be able to help you in a day or two.
