Which is your favourite operating system?

Well, which one is it? Please state why you chose the one you did. I pick Linux, specifically OpenSuSe. The reason are:

No Viruses
Computer Doesn't get slow when installing stuff
Open Source
Awesome programs available, most are free
Easy to use
Great Security
Very Stable

I picked Windows because it happens to be the only one I have used a lot.

 

the only reason i use windows is because my games (most at least) dont work with wine :\

and the reasons i like linux is that i dont have to restart the machine every time in install something same with tweaking things

 

I picked Windows because its a good and simple system to use. Second I would go for Mac because they have good editng systems and they run smooth. Also there is less viruses for macs but for my windows computer i just have all the best antivirus software.

 

i assure you, linux > mac. There's in fact no viruses at all for linux.

 

Well i haven't ever used linux, but yea there aren't any viruses i know that. I think i might get linux to try it out I have money that i have to get rid of before i move because I'm not botherd to exchange the money i have now.

 

I pick Windows (Windows XP Pro)
Because it works without problems and it is easy to use.

I never got hacked or never had trouble with virusus... I don't even have a anti-virus. so i don't really care about that part.

I download everything i need so its kinda free for me to.

 

I chose Windows. Only 1 I ever used. I would however like to get into Linux.

 

I chose windows because I am sort of an "operating system noob" and never used linux. I am really anti-mac though. I cant stand it.

 

i dont really like windows, but since it happens to be on my computer that my grandma bought me for grad and theres a whole lot more games to get for it than on Mac, i guess i like it a little
but i like mac alot. if it wasnt for the lack of gaming it'd be my fav.

there is no such thing as a "linux computer". any computer can run linux as it is open source and freely distributed over the internet.

Windows, as I've only ever experienced with Windows and Mac.

 

I vote windows. Its easy to use. Plus its all Ive ever used.

 

I prefer Windows. You can customize it the furthest and the good thing about Mac is, there are few security exploits and vulnerabilities so there are less viruses and spyware on Mac than Windows, and there are also less hackers out there who successfully hack Mac operating systems,the right term to use for people who forcibly gain unauthorized access to a machine is "cracker", but people prefer to call them "hackers". That's not a joke. On Windows Vista they're s way too much security, It's suspicious of too many things it's like you have security or you don't at all.

 

I choose Windows. It's basically my main/home computer. All my computers in the house are Windows, and, I think it's extremely easy to use. Way better than Mac.

 

lmao, you can barely customize windows at all Compare with linux and you'll see. The security is flawed in both Windows XP and Vista, hence you need antivirus applications, antispyware etc.

like linux and windows xp together

I'm currently tri-booting XP, Vista and Linux (Ubuntu -.-) and I really like Vista the best, and have had no security issues as of yet.
