I do not understand that. On MSN you implyed that because you have User Educater rank and Donating Rank, you are trusted. My point I was trying to prove was that just because you have User Educater and Donating Rank's doesn't make you trusted.

Then you said why should we trust the OMM's just because of their rank.

I said because they have contirubted and done the 25 trade's needed to pend for OMM, some of them only done it to scam but I know heap's that done it entirely to help the community.

Sythe is probably making enough money from the Donations and the ADs he has, I don't think Sythe has to damage his Pay for Sythe. The "Respected" In respected donator should be removed then.

Do you know how much it is for all his hosting or what ever?

If you don't well then you don't know if it is affecting his pay for it.

 

Didn't think about that, but what do you reckon about Donator's having the choice to remain anonymous or not? I'm not saying YOU personally donated to buy your respect or anything but there are people that have done it just to buy the rank and seem a bit more trustworthy so that it pays off in the long run (i.e scamming in the future), the proof is there. I guess if they donate they do deserve to have a special rank.

Hosting only costs 10 Dollars a month, so add that up.

118.99 a year, and 40 a month is easy obtainable in a month of the ADs.

Yes, if you spend countless time in the IRC, that means you'll end up getting along with the Members around you, and if you spend so much time on IRC, who'd want to scam? Their time would be wasted.

 

Wether or not somebody trusts someone with a "Frequent IRC User" is their choice. There's no way in hell I'm going to trust someone just because they go on IRC a lot. May aswell have frequent MSN user ranks, it's ridiculous

 

What a waste of a rank then, let's cancel each rank and go back to phpbb and have user titles, then we'll be much happier, it's true that ranks affect your trustworthiness, they're meant to just look at the Trade with Caution rank for an example.

You do not know if sythe has other website's other hosting's and such. You do not know if sythe make's any money to put with the money from the ad's to keep this website up.

Spending countless time on IRC is releaving, it let's you have a break from the website and have fun conversation's on it. Not really used for gaining trust, talking to someone on a daily baisis doesn't make them trust you.

TwC rank is used for a good purpose. For a TwC rank to be added to your name you must have been reported as an attempt to scam or a scammer with little proof. The idea of the TwC rank is to warn other's that the user with it could be/is a scammer.

 

Wow, you can't make friends without talking to them.

 

And you can't gain trust by talking to them either.

 

Did I generalise that to ALL ranks? No I didn't. Are you honestly saying that you'd trust a frequent irc user? Maybe a Middle Man, Mod, maybe a Donator. But someone that is praised just for using IRC? That's stupid.

 

You have no ranks, so what are you crazying on about, it just shows my dedication to the community and people who are dedicated are highly not likely to scam, so where do you get your trust from? Your join date? Your postcount, there must be some excuse.

What the fuck? For starters, i started with a supporting statement for you. I'm not "crazying" I'm discussing, as you said in your first post. "Discuss while me and Oh Jesus debate". Also, I didn't say that I'm trusted and I don't give a shit if people trust me or not, I'm not here to deal with the market at this point. Why do I need to make excuses? I don't give a fuck what you think about my postcount or joindate. It's just a number and a month. I thought we were talking about ranks anyway? Hmmm?

So at the end of all this it turns out you do seem to think you are something special because of your rank(s) and I am less of a person/less trusted on the forum because I don't have ranks like you?
