Ranks and Titles are they truly and answer to trustworthiness? Or is it our join date, please post your opinions, while me and Oh Jesus have a debate, thanks.

 

I didn't say it was joindate, I said " Because you have user educater and a respected donater rank doesn't make you more trusted then other's."

What makes regular people like you and Official Middle Man, because they have a rank, if you're a donator, you have not completed any trades, but you showed your loyality to Sythe and it's members.

A: Look at all the donater's who have been banned for scamming since they donated.

Official MM's : OMM's contirbute to making sythe safer with buying/selling stuff, They work hard to get their rank. They are more trusted because they have the Middle Man rank for doing 25 trade's needed to pend for it. They are more trusted because they have complete 12M+ trade's and for exaple full_tilt is one of the people i most trust with anything on sythe. (He has done a 55M trade.)

Wait a minute you just said, ranks don't matter, but you specificly pointed out you Donators aren't trustworthy, they should be more trustworthy then the normal member.

Oh Jesus, I've seen many people get their old accounts back and use that excuse to scam. It's like "Pmg I woz ere 4 2 yerz so lyk u hve 2 trust mi kaiz?"

 

You don't get a rank for 1-2m donations. Quality was a *pending* middle man, yet s/he scammed 50M.

 

Ranks and titles, after all people could just make an account and scam on it 2 years later on the other hand people aren't going to try and become a mod to scam.

 

So if pending middle man's scam why should we trust you more because of your donation and user ed rank?

To vlad, yes some people do, me on the other hand I don't care, he said he was way more trusted because of his rank's, i said look at all the people who have donated and scammed. Then he wanted to debate.

 

"Oh Jesus" you should take this into account.
1) User Educator ranks come from making guides, helping people out, thus showing some loyalty to the community.
2)Donating to Sythe also shows you give at least half a shit about the community, thus once again showing loyalty.

Although money doesn't necessarily buy respect or trust, it does somewhat show some loyalty towards the community, which, people with default ranks haven't showed (to the level where they get a rank or whatever for it). There is an element of trust that comes with donating though but in my opinion shouldn't completely make say, a Donator or User Educator any better than the next person.

 

That is what i pointed out I didn't say anything bout the joindate though he bought it into the debate so I asked a question.

I myself have made 2 anti-virus tutorial's and helped out where and when ever I could. I just started merching mill's and when I get over 100M I want to maybe donate 40M(Not for trust)

I simply want to donate because sythe is paying with his own money to keep this website up for us to buy/sell stuff. Also him paying his own money for us to browse around and have fun/meet people/buy stuff is wrong. I want to donate to him to show that I want the website to stay up so I can continue to come here and talk/buy stuff.

Good point, which is exactly why I said money shouldn't necessarily buy trust, but sometimes it seems to. Perhaps Donator ranks don't need to be displayed, because if people are donating because they truely care about the community, not just to get the rank to purchase an element of trust then they wouldn't mind they remained annonymous. Maybe an idea that could be used. Doesn't really matter it could be the donator's choice.
