I would like to talk to a moderator or sorts to give them a heads up with some information.

I recently (2 days ago) did a runescape gold transaction. Now, this transaction went through fairly smoothly and I did receive my product, however the issue that I'm having is that, I had to go through this person's website to do the trade (they wanted me to pay thru paypal using their site specifically, they would not do a direction Person 2 Person transaction.)

Now the concern I have is that, shortly after doing this transaction, I received an email with a phishing link pretending to be runescape saying I'd received an infraction for an attempted real world trade event and may be banned, and to click said link to review account status. Google immediately flagged it saying that this link had been used to steal people's information and to not click it (sad thing is, I almost did)

Upon looking at my infractions of my account there is in fact nothing there. I only attempted 1 single trade, there is no other source this would have came from, it's no coincidence. The time frame is right on point. I know the user on Sythe, and I know the the website.

Please get ahold of me, thank you

PS. Another big concern I have is just how many trades this person has done here, it truly is quite a bit. And the fact that they demanded I do it through the site which I'm pretty confident is where the email derived from...

It's possible that it might be a coincidence and has nothing to do with that person at all. I've been getting things like this for years and I've heard many other people are as well. General rule of thumb for phishing links - they'll always be around so just ignore them and you'll be in the clear. Mark it as spam, block the senders, and if you're the extra paranoid person - just make a new email even though that isn't necessary it will help you feel better about it.

Probably a coincidence. These e-mails are very common. There's not much we can do about that.

Yeah, I have got countless emails saying my account has received infractions over the years (always in the junk mail folder) you shouldn't have anything to worry about unless you clicked the link and entered your credentials.

Could you PM me who? This happened to me many months ago but I never clicked the link. I just kept logging onto all my accounts and all of them were fine.
