Guide to a mint house & throwing a house party!

Construction is a very expensive skill, but if you have the money you will find that its one of the fastest skills to level.

Level 70 construction is an ideal construction level, and using this method I achieved this and a pretty good house in just over 3 days.

What you will need:

Hammer and saw
About 200-300 or so nails (any)
About 140 wooden planks
14k oak planks
Loads of cash
Any other materials you want to customize a pimp out your house ready for party!

First out, you may want to know how to boost your construction level allowing you to build things just a little bit out of reach,

Stat boosters:

1. Crystal saw: After completed The Eyes of Glourphie quest, you will be rewarded with a crystal saw. It will raise your construction level by 3 when building any furniture. Be aware that it will not help you when building rooms or creating monsters in your dungeon and after 24 uses you will have to recharge the seed.

2. Tea: It is possible to make tea in your kitchen. For information click HERE

3. Evil stew: Stew is very unpredictable as its effects are random, but if lucky the effects of the stew could produce a construction bonus of +6! Impressive indeed. To make stew you must have completed the Evil dave subquest of recipe of disaster. for more information click HERE


Achieving 70 construction!

1. First off, you will need to achieve 19 construction so that you may use oak planks. Oak planks are ideal because they don't require the use of nails. Start off by building some chairs. One of the fastest methods to do this at this level is to carry an air staff, and have law runes and earth runes in your inventory. Once you have completed a load of chairs, teleport to camelot and refill your inventory, then proceed to using Home teleport and completing another load. This method can be used right through to 70 construction. Once you reach 19 construction, continue building oak things until you get 33 construction.

2. Once you get 33 con, build a kitchen (if you havn't already) Now you are ready to build the supreme furniture, the oak larder! You will find this to be extremely fast leveling as it uses up 8 oak planks instantly. Remove larder and repeat to 50 con

3. When you reach 50 con, a faster yet more expensive alternative becomes open. First make sure you have two bedrooms. Head over to Ardougne, and find the Ardougne Domestic Service Agency just north of the market. Hirer a Demon butler then return to your home. Have all your oak planks noted in your inventory. After completing a load (OR during a current load) Use your noted planks on him and ask him to un note them, just type some random number like 273493 or something so its quicker and he will un note his maximum number. He will leave and return quickly so that you may continue power leveling on oak larders. This is expensive as he will ask for 10k every 8 trips, but a very speedy method. Continue until 70 construction

Congratz on 70 con! Now you may customize your house however you may, remember to use the stat boosters so you can make a guilded alter and a pimped out dungeon ;P

5. Now that you have a 1337 house, you can either continue leveling or... PARTAY!@!@!

To do so go to world 6, or at peak times even world 9.

Advertise your party outside the portal and every 3 or so messages go inside for a minute to let people in. Repeat until you have around 20+ people. A good option is to find some people to advertise for you, or pay a noob 1 or 2k so that you may enjoy the party. Remember to turn on PVP if you have a dungeon and to socialize with your guests. Remember than you can also order your butler to serve food, drinks or even serve guests at the entrance portal.

Make money with con?

After following this guide you may have suffered a serious blow to your cash. You may want to try and make some money using your house. How to do this:

1. Move your house to Yanille
2. Make sure you have either a gilded alter with burners and some marrentills (requires 30 firemaking to light the burners) and/or some type of lectern (for tab making)
3. Advertise the free/small fee'd service you are offering. If free make sure you strongly encourage donations

Depends how good you want your house. I personally spent about 10m.

Butler method is quicker, and you should be rich if your doing this anyway.

 

Indeed, i only suggest using a cook (only 3K for 16), it should help reducing the overall cost, and the time loss can be reduced with a bit of organisation.

 

14K of oak planks are more than 10m...

 

14000/16=875 trips for a cook butler ==> the butling price will be 875*3000/8=328125 gold coins

the logs to planks price = 14000*250=3500000

The total is : 3828125

now that leaves for the oak logs themselves 6171875 (and not 3875000 as i stated before, sorry everyone).

 

I suppose if you don't mind a bit of extra clicking, a cook works aswell.
