why is rap hated?

After surfing the intenet and youtubes videos of why people hate rap i can conclued its mostly because of the FACTS the its has poor quaity lyrics and its promoted sex, drugs, and violence and it also dosent take alot to produce it.

it is compared to rock alot, that why you see all of the debaits about rock and rap and never something like techno vs jazz.

everyone has their opinion, doesn't mean you're right about what music is better.

People have their own views on music.

for example, I love rock, and lets say I'm arguing with a person that likes Rap.

I posted a poll a while ago and had like 70 replies before I let it sink. Rock won =P.

I think people were under peer pressure because I said that it was better so they had to say it too..... OR maybe just because it really is better. You decide.

Rock, for the win. Can understand it better, I like the beats and variety of instruments. Rap just repeats one or two phrases over and over again. And most of the "rap bands" probly use synthesizers to create their "music."

That is false. Metal owns every genre due to its diversity. Its amazing how its still alive though. You know, punk died the second it was created.
