How to block Adverts on F2P Gameplay

Do you ever get annoyed by these stupid advertisements at the time of the free world screen?


+ By following these simple instructions you will be able to eliminate these advertisements all in all keeping you more lag free =)+

What you need:
+Mozilla Firefox
+https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10

Now what to do

After downloading and restarting your firefox you should go to tools>adblock


+Open the dropdown menu and hit "list all blockable elements+ "NOTE" MAKE SURE YOU ARE ON THE RUNESCAPE LOGIN PAGE WHEN YOU DO THIS STEP"


That gives you this menu


"On this menu, remove the following source by highligting it and pressing done


After that go to Tools>adblock>preferences, and switch from (remove ads) to (hide ads)

CLICK DONE!

And there you have it
Look world 30 is f2p and no advert at all at the top!

Question, though. It says you have to do it while you're on the login page...

Does this mean you have to re-do it every time you leave and come back, or will say "world 30 f2p login" always be ad-free, but only that world? Since I know each world has a different url.

You know when you go to Runescape.com and go to downloads, there's a separate thing you can download which allows you to go directly to their site simply by clicking on the desktop icon?

There's no address bar, no buttons, nothing. Just takes you to the homepage and from there you navigate to the login screen. But it still has ads on f2p.

 

oh, no i dont use that... i recommend just using mozilla at all times, put rs in your bookmarks toolbar =)

 

I did, but I tend to prefer to play in that instead of the actual Mozilla browser.

Having that reduces lag and other click/button pressing mistakes.
