Gold price crashing, why?

Those were the prices 2 weeks ago. Just now I bought money from a RSGP business for 1.07$/M. So the prices have dropped 0.20$ in 2 weeks lol. What is the reason gold is dropping so hard? Jagex even implemented some new gold sinks.

 

Gold sinks that remove 50K don't do shit gold enters game faster then it leaves. Most likely due to summer ending or a staker dumped a shit ton and flooded the market.

 

Will rates ever go back up or no? I'm not that familiar with the RS market, but i cant ever recalling gold rising significantly. Hopefully osrs will release some crazy update soon that motivates and brings in more players.

i just feel like because they are always jumping and when there is alot of gp floating around of course its going to lower.. but when there is less it is bound to raise i just believe its one of those things no matter how much floats around it should atleast always have a standard rate around $1/per mill

 

Just to reply to this. In the stream yesterday the mods mentioned 3.5B already left the game when the stream ended because of Last Man Standing. Not even a full day after release and already 3.5B less in the game.

 

why though? the gold you pay before entering LMS goes to the winner of the game right? How is that a gold sink?

Correct me if I'm wrong since I'm not 100% sure of this.

 

Only 2M (1.5M to the winner and 500k to 2nd place) of the total 2.4M in entry fees is given back, so 400k is removed each LMS game.

Turns out the 3.5B was actually 360M, mods failed calculation. Besides that LMS introduced a gold exploit: Watch B0aty on Twitch

Mods claiming the exploit was fixed before it could be abused on Reddit.

 

RS gold will continue to crash but go up now and again in holiday seasons. More is coming into the game than leaving no matter what happens.

 

I am think this is the case myself unfortunately :/

 

osrs needs to find a method to sink the amount of gold in the economy

 

And another money sink has arrived: blast furnace NPC's. Depending on how much it costs it might be a big goldsink as the place is infested with bots.

 

Isn't this an old sink? where you pay the guy like 10k every hour or something like that to do blast furnace if youre not over lvl 60

Everyone fails to consider bonds as the most major gold sink.

 

100% what I was going to bring up. Along with the fact that people are quitting, and not knowing/simply not wanting to sell their gold and stake it away in hopes to win enough to spark their want to play again. This would lead to the stakers that seem to always win, to just continue to make more money. (this doesn't just lie with stakers though.. people will go on betting websites aswell)

 

Oh ok i see it now. Would this be a good gold sink though? I think itll only crash the prices of bars
